Title: Hi all - Returning player

Hi all,
Ive just returned to UO after an 8 year absence, I mainly play chessy (which is where I first started) back in 1999
Ive gotta be honest, im curious to see what 8 years has done to UO, so im kind of looking forward to getting back into the game.
I found this site through all places a 'google' search - I hope you will all be gentle with me, as I am learning to script
so obviously i'll make some silly mistakes at some point

Hello ixchel. What do you do in your spare time? What has kept you into Uo this whole time?

I work as a research diver (scientific - ie I count fish !!)
with regards to UO,

I keep quitting/coming back/quitting/coming back etc etc,
I guess the depth of the game, as opposed to other games, has just kept me interested.
Even though this game isnt like it used to be in 98' - pre Trammel (game breaker in my opinion)
the sheer scope of what you can do in it - is absolutely mind boggling.
I guess thats why I keep coming back

Thanks everyone for your lovely welcomes,
its nice to know that some old farts like me - still have UO to call home
(assuming EA dont stuff it up anymore than they have)

Well, my tower went IDOC - but I found a cheque for 1mil in my bank box ;)
So im rich !!
looking forward now to seeing whats new with UO these days

Well one thing thats new that im sure you have discouved already it that 1mil is no longer rich its in fact dirt poor... ;)
