So...what is up with this staff?  Pretty interesting, undoubtedly useless.  Still, very nicely themed weapon.

Sometimes, the loot system is just elegant.  Pity it is lacking a spiffy "Arcane Stick of Thumping" moniker.

Yea that is an interesting item indeed.  It just reminded me of my chest of 70+ charge G HEAL wands that I meant to imbue up... I love that prot gheal from the wand.....especially on a necro since you can SS while holding the cursor up & only targetnif you need it.
