Just got introduced to uo again after realizing LoU had been sucking up 100.00 a month a 30 hours a week... ba-damn...
Abienormal hooked me up here coz i haz skilz, but seriously, i couldnt affford a sports car for my midlife crisis so I have started playing games. I have been a UNIX sysadmin for 25 years, I started when Digial UNIX was OSF, and Sun was callled SunOS..... and HP-9000's were just beginning to not need datacenters the size of football fields.
OK, so we play on the lonely desolate Lake Austin. Have a house in Fel and a House in Tokono on Makato.
we have other friends that have gone back to playing as a way to pass the social times, and then we want to make our own cool stuff, so everyone is training up different skills.
I script in almost all the unix shells and it looks like it will be a blast to pick up some of the old work that is dying and fix it up for the new ones of us.

BTW, This is my RL fiance... who likes to type like a 12 year old when he is on gaming forums :/
He is my coding genius.. and I dragged him to play UO. I swear people... an actual NEW PLAYER!!! Not just one of us who came back after being gone!!! He even did New Haven questing!!!! :P
He came on here to help me out. :)

I have a character on Lake Austin that I never use. He needs a couple things done, but maybe in the long run we can create a pvp guild of some sorts on LA!

wait... that means there are at least 5 humans on Lake Austin that I can count, even though you just admitted to never using him...

I would say be careful naming yourself and your server... But LA is so desolate I'm not sure you will run into many problems.

Welcome to the site. i have a lot of guys on LA and all the "active" folks I played with have pretty much left the shard or quit. It is a fun but quite place.
