Create a shortcut to client.exe and always run UO from here and you will not have to deal with any of the patch down times anymore unless it is a forced patch.
-
UOA forces you to patch, and even if you point to a differant client UOA will not load unless its the post current client.
so.. don't use UOA use an alternative program.
-
I was just trying to figure that out. What other program can I use that's like UOA while playing on Origin?

Does it matter where the shortcut is? What about UOA?

I use this - I think it is the best anywhere

These are the required assistuo settings and how I load various clients
-
AssistUo is the best alternative...
-
Seems like lots of peeps are shifting to AssistUO. Working that well now? That's good to hear.

Guys (all of you), thank-you for all your replies and information. You made this girl's day! :-*

I have AssistUO installed and it's working good, though I'll need to do some additional setup stuff in it. So, by using this instead of UOA, does that mean the next time there is an Origin patch that I won't have to patch? If that's so, how do I tell it to patch after EasyUO has been updated?

I always back up my client.exe file by copying it and renaming the copy. for example the current client I rename client30.3.exe. But if the client and Euox are up to date I start assistuo from client.exe
I also run uoassist or uo.exe every now and then to get it patched to the latest version (sometimes it patches and version number does not change)
Hope that helps

Thank-you, a big help, and I did just what you said! :)
