Title: UO Veteran coming back
Post by: Zathan on April 13, 2013, 03:38:27 PM
Hey there guys,

My name is Nightblade and I have been playing Ultima Online since December 1997. I stopped played on OSI servers shortly after trammel was introduced and I haven't been following EA-UO. I couldn't believe that Richard Garriott would actually sell his rights to EA but whatever. I had a lot of characters on Chesapeake (Nightblade, Jader, Orion, etc.) and Siege. Big PvPer with multiple PK characters. Now I play on a RunUO shard that emulates old school UO like it was back in 1998. It's pretty nice and they also have an official chat room where we can hang out and contact each other. I've tried a few EasyUO scripts but I wasn't too pleased with it so I did some research and found out about ScriptUO so I thought I'd give this a try. I remember Skunkworks (cheating website eheh), UOextreme and all that. Any edge I can get I'll take it.

I'm from Canada, but originally from Germany. English is my third language but I speak English, French and German. UO is without a doubt the best game I've ever played and no MMORPGs have ever come close to it which is pretty sad indeed. I study computer science and I like programming. If I like the program I would probably make a few custom scripts and share it with the rest of you.

thanks for your consideration

Ok let me work on it then. I wasn't aware we needed to write an essay

You don't have to write an essay, just an intro. There are many examples of good intros in the new intro section.

Since you updated yours I'll go ahead and unrestrict you.

Welcome to ScriptUO.

Indeed..now a good read on the intro. Welcome and given your experience, we likely do not have to recommend burning out the search button :)
