Title: Need some help understanding current prices
Post by: NObama on October 13, 2013, 02:18:02 PM: I'm just perusing searchuo.com, and I'm seeing some ridiculous prices for things and I don't know why:

Towering Wooden Shield Of Wizardry: 60M
Exceptional
Soul Charge 20%

Just overpriced *bleep* that people toss up knowing that somewhere out there is a dumbass who probably buys gold and spends it on *bleep* their friends tell them to get for their next super badass scribe uber dmg mage... A character they play for about 2 kills and recycle after their first death because "the suit isn't good enough". Unfortunately some people are still stuck in the "Unless you spend X-billion gold on your suit... it's *bleep* and you might as well not play that chr at all until you've put ATLEAST 1b into it".

That's scenario 1 for these sellers... Scenario 2 is the same except that the buyer has too much gold to know wtf to actually do with other than buying everything with a decent price tag... Scenario 3 is that the dumbasses from Scenario 1 and 2 dont buy these items at all because they dont exceed their suit cost thresholds, and anyone with half a brain actually understands just how *bleep* that armor is and refuses to buy it.

Post by: 8 Ball on October 29, 2013, 08:46:40 AM: The shield is crap but the gloves are alright - still very overpriced though. I paid 75m for basically the best 6mod piece of mage armour you can make and still felt like I overpaid, the real big money items are monster loot rather than crafted.

I haven't been playing much :) I guess like a lot of people these days I get kinda bored of UO and need to take a break, this new invasion is pretty fun though :)
