Hi everyone,
My name is Brian and I was introduced to Ultima Online in 2000 by one of my coworkers. I was on the Great Lakes shard because it had the best ping and that can mean a lot in the days of dial up internet. Some of the most exciting times I've had in any game have been on this game. In my early days, I used to get so pissed when I would be pk'ed and looted. But I eventually I learned how to think fast and haul ass. I've never been much of a PvPer and probably never will, but I love the adrenaline rush when someone tries to kill me. I think one of the main things that made me quit was when they put "improperly placed" on many of the houses and mine was one of them.
I played other MMO's like Everquest and World of Warcraft for about 8 years after that. But I am married and have kids now. I ain't got time for all that raiding 4 hours a night crap. So I'm back to UO. I like it better anyway. I've been back for a little over a year and I am loving it. I have started learning how to write my own scripts over the past few months. Many times when I have searched how to add something to my scripts, I wind up here. I like the site and have got a lot of good information here so I thought that I would introduce myself.

Welcome. Yes there is a lot to read through here and it is continually update and most of us have RL's so we may not respond to your questions right away but we always try to treat everyone with some care :)

Too funny, same here. I'd never heard of UO until a couple guys at work started platting to play just before the AOS release thinking it would be the perfect time to land a house. We we all using UOAssist and UOLoop to macro skills in a boat. Funniest thing to look at the one, single boat we could afford with 5 different characters in it training skills LOL. We would all hover around one guys desk where he would leave his laptop dialed in and UO up and we could make sure our characters were still connected.
It was funny until one of the guys decided to go ahead and start training fishing one day without mentioning anything to the rest of us - oooOOOooOOO!
