Title: Returning to UO - finally!

I'm Alex from Germany and recently decided to get back into UO. I guess that's an addiction I'll never get rid off ... :D

I started back in 2000 when a friend of mine let me play on his OSI account on Drachenfels. I was only allowed to play in Trammel though since Felucca was "too dangerous" for me and I could get killed and lose all his items there. ;D
We also played together with some other friends on the first Sphere freeshards before I decided to try out OSI myself.

I have to admit that the freeshard "Blitzkrieg" (running on RunUO) had the greatest impact on my UO "career" though. I had the greatest PvP and PvM moments of UO on that shard and later even joined their staff as a scripting (C#) and building GM before the shard, sadly, fell apart.

Since then I've played UO on and off on Drachenfels, UOGamers and other popular freeshards and recently came back after a ~5 years break.

"Scripting" UO is just as addicting as actually playing it, although I would not dare to call myself a skilled scripter. My friends and I always tried to utilize programs like EUO for an enhanced experience if you want to call it like that.

I joined this forum to get back in touch with the whole scripting business again and to easy some of the rather mind numbing tasks in UO. ;)

- German

I'm very sure no one playing on Drachenfels would remember me. Was just another newb out there struggling to raise his skills. ;D

same goes for me.. noone know me from EA.. Most know my name from scriptuo or freeshard scene lately..hehe

Haa i used to play on Blitzkrieg shard too (10years ago ? !! :p). It was a nice pre aos shard
