Because otherwise I wouldn't be able to afford to train imbuing. My lands, I've burned through 5000 citrines just to go from 40 to 55. I just bought 13K more, and by my calculation I've spent 2M already just on gems...not to mention the gold value of the oak boards I'm unraveling.
Irritating. With training requirements like this, EA is actually encouraging scripting. How else could people actually hope to train this frickin' skill?
Thank goodness for the imbue trainer posted on EUO...but if anyone knows of a cheaper method...

Well, since this script has a statistics function, I'll be able to estimate pretty closely. The only reason I'm below 3M so far is that I fence goods at all the Fel jewelry shops and I'm willing to comparison shop. When you start buying citrines at 82 apiece instead of 150, that saves a huge chunk of gold.

I figure I spent 13M gold on Gems getting to 120. Not to mention all the oak boards unraveled to get to about 23K MR I used. It took me a total of 19 hours to go from 50-120.

Hate to burst yer bubble :) Full member is based on post count 100 Posts u make Full member, 250 Posts u make Sr Member, 500 Posts u make Hero Member ....but keep on posting...u never knowz when that elite might come along :)

i spent about 7-8 mil on gems and about 22k residue. (i did alot of it with razor b4 a script was out)

Run time: 1218 minutes
I just found a fresh jeweler at 60gp/citrine, so that saved me a bundle. Still, I'm about 4M into this now.

Look for the gypsy jewelers in Ilshenar they reset when they get moved.

What shard are you on?!? On Sonoma the citrine and amber start out at 50 per. I rarely see them above 60 per... and I personally don't buy them above 56 per.

I'd love to know where you're buying them, then. I'm also on Sonoma. 109.9 and counting. I'm seriously considering eating my 3.0 scroll at 117 just to make the bleeding stop.

I only buy jewels from the gypsy camps in Ilshenar and also the gargoyle city near Exodus Dungeon. Seems like someone else has figured it out though as prices have been up in the city. I know of 5 gypsy camp spawn sites I could show you if you'd like.

And yes, I'm the reason why the obscure, out-of-the-way jewelers on Sonoma suddenly want so much more for their wares =P

idk but burn 20m to make an char rly worth the effort? idk, i think the prices of residue will drop soon.

I'm doing it more because it has recently become my goal to max every skill in the game and store them on soulstones. Plus, I must be uber crafter!
