Title: Finally got the phone I wanted
Post by: Cerveza on October 13, 2009, 12:02:52 PM
Sony Ericsson w760a (ATT)

240 x 320, 3.2 MP, GPS, Walkman, Radio, 2 GB Micro, Accelerometer.

A lady posted it for sale on our work "for sale" folder. She had it for about a year and changed jobs (and service). She didn't realize you can just debrand the phone to use with the new service, and I didn't think to tell her ;).

Got an awesome price. It goes for around $220 new, I paid less then 1/3rd that.

Phone, Home Charger, Car Charger, 2 sets of SE ear-buds, 2GB Memory Card, Box and books.

Motion games are cool, and the flash menu's/wallpaper are sweet. Battery life is awesome. I'm really happy with it so far.

My wife has one of these.  She likes it alot.  It comes in a lot of girlie colors. So it works for her and has like you say alot of nice options.

Debranded it over the weekend. Menu's are way cooler, turned off the 3G to extend battery life (which is awesome to begin with).

Put a few more games on it, and some more music.

I'll update the acoustic driver next, though it's pretty good as is.

I wish all phones were this easy to debrand.

I've only done a couple, but this was extremely easy to do. Just copy a file to it, then let the SE updated run on it.

Phone came up in Espanol, but gave the English option at the first page.

Man, me too.  Verizon tends to load a phone with so much crap, it's almost unusable.
