Title: Edit music?? Not sure what else to call it

I am looking for a program that i can use on my comp to take clips of songs out, say a guitar solo, and be able to email it.  Or attach like three or four guitar solos together.  I haven't even tried looking anywhere else.  Not sure what to even look up.  Is it hard to do, is it easy, I have no idea.  Just wondering where to start.

Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) is free and basic.
