I think that's in the WinUO multipatcher.

Did you look at the link??? its a patch to turn all trees into stumps. speed up your client by have less crap to draw. You could just as well get a good video card and more memory and do the same thing.

Ya, you can turn off various items that are displayed to increase your screen refresh speed and reduce your client side lag (and also walk through what you couldn't walk through before..).  One of the best things to get rid of are those annoying field spells.

I can see how that all would be nice; I still have never modified my client art.  The only cheating I do is with EUO.

If you do a google search for MUL editor you'll find alot of simple editor programs to lets you manipulate your animation files, allows you to do tree hacks, fields hacks, and plenty of other useful things  ;)

It's nice, especially running through dense woods and jungles!

Also, for the loggers in the crowd, its a great way to see where you can teleport to in the dense trees around Delucia.

While you're at it, there should be edits for fields as well so firefields and poison fields just appear as a solid yellow/green tile. Not pretty to look at but simple, fast loading and easier to identify what tiles are covered.

I think I originally found it on an LNR Guild board long ago, I've still got copies of the edited MUL files but one of them is 65 megs and I don't remember exactly what I did, it's not hard tho.

Does the Tree Stump Hack work on all patches or does it need to be updated with each  Patch?  The last WinUO Client Mod at (http://winuo.org/client-mods/797-winuo-mul-multipatcher-v2-0-updated-6-0-9-1-a.html), I had to un-install to get the Patch to upload.   I re-installed it and only part of the graphics are altered.  I really like the fact that it re-draws the trees, etc. as this makes it much smoother and easier for PvP.  Plus the Dragon graphic is much easier to see around...any news on this would be helpful!

I remember a long time ago(im thinking like 5 years or so) I quit OSI, and started playing a freeshard, it was running sphere, and was quite amusing, and alot of fun.. Well, I was made a GM, as I liked to mess with Worldbuilder, and made 3 new towns, and an island..

Anyway, the shard didn't last very long, as it was impossible to get the .mul file spread around, it was like 12 meg, and on a dial up it took like 3 to 4 hours to transfer, and at the time, not to many people had anything better than a 56k.

When I went back to OSI, I took my mul file and did a world wipe, it was funny as hell, trying to run around on the public servers, as I could not see any trees, or buildings, Only the floor tiles.

I tried to set up an area for lumber jacking, and mining also, only to find out that just because I could see it, didn't mean that the game servers could...

I haven't tried this hack yet, Might have to just to play around, as I'm getting bored with the game again...

That is why you are able to walk through certain things.  It is a client side property that doesn't allow you to walk through them. The server doesn't give a rats.  So finding those things that are client side that you can manipulate would be great.

So my question is this:

Is there a graphics aka Stump Hack that works with Client version 6.0.12.3 (Patch 74) -- the current version?

Again:
Does the Tree Stump Hack work on all patches or does it need to be updated with each  Patch?  The last WinUO Client Mod at (http://winuo.org/client-mods/797-winuo-mul-multipatcher-v2-0-updated-6-0-9-1-a.html), I had to un-install to get the Patch to upload.   I re-installed it and only part of the graphics are altered.  I really like the fact that it re-draws the trees, etc. as this makes it much smoother and easier for PvP.  Plus the Dragon graphic is much easier to see around...any news on this would be helpful!

The winuo one is out of date.
The guy that was upkeeping is no longer loggin on at all.

Just recently they moved the location of the trees so to my knowledge it is no longer working to turn them into stumps...  it could be the snow that caused th relocate but they have also moved the locations of the items that were pasable on the serverside and marked not passable on the client side.  I Do not know anyone that has found them yet or tried.

So no it is not working as intended.  but it went many patches just fine.  They rarely change loactions on you.

Here is a new request for the Stump Hack or something like it that works with the current version.  Anyone have one that works or knows if anyone has worked on one recently.  The one I was using died several patches ago.
