Forty Two attempts.  FORTY TWO.

While I appreciate the Doug Adams reference, I'd appreciate one of Lt. Dan's new cloaks a lot more...

I think I got one of those but I haven't patched so the description is just an error message. What's the going rate on one of those? I'm assuming it's low.

Now my count is 56.  Another Frostguard and Ranger's cloak, no new items.

Going for either one of the NEW rewards.  I get one or two of the old rewards every day.  Yesterday, for example, was two frostguards. 

Haven't done my 14 for today, but I am not terribly optimistic...

 :(

Okay - I'm officially calling shenanigans.

1 - 84 attempts, zero new rewards
2 - Today, I received 12 bows, a radiant scimitar and a relic frag.

Statistically, I suppose both of those outcomes are possible - albeit at the extreme end of the bell curve.  Given all the other problems we've seen with this quest, I'm saying the reward system is BORKED.

Here is my plaintive request:

If there is an elite way of getting these items, I humbly request - not knowledge of said method - but merely a PM from someone getting a bunch of the new rewards with an offer to sell me one of each at a reasonable price.

When I totally lost hope in heartwood when those were hard to get, I just shed my pants and everything was better.  So have you done this sans pants?  :p

Rana is posting up the book locations in other other thread title Ricardo's Book Quest. Your missing out on some very good items if your not doing the quests. Both of the cloaks are very nice.

ah yes that sans pants method.  I remember cerveza getting some 120's that way also!

Well I'll be damned.  I tried it without my pants and got two new talismans and a new cloak.  

Seriously.  Took off the pants because I was that desperate.

WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME ABOUT THIS SOONER?!
