Title: Howdy, I'm Jeremy, a ten year vet of the game :D
Post by: SouthernCoastie on May 15, 2010, 09:52:03 AM: As the subject says, I'm a ten year vet of the game. I love it, started when I was 13 years old. I've been playing ever since my lil cousin said "hey check this out, it's like a second virtual life". I promptly kicked him off his own computer to start playing, lol. This game is what got me interested in computer programing. Realizing that you could make something so fun, so amazingly addictive with just coding, it intrigued me. Since then I've grown up and joined the military specializing in Information Systems Tech. which is blossoming into a promising future. I'm wanting to learn how to script. I'm not very familiar with the coding programs and such but I'd love to learn.
I play a freeshard right now called "Age of Virtues" which is a great, small community based shard that allows no skill cap along with many, many custom quests and fun events hosted by a very experienced staff. I found this site after getting a little bit tired of constantly going to just one source for scripts. I want something new with a dedicated community and staff that will gladly help a new scripter learn the basics. I want to be able to put my scripting ideas into reality, make them work. I've used scripts long enough to notice what could be made easier for the general user with no skill and what could be simple, yet very effective fixes for others.
I don't have a lot of time to play on the game anymore being military and having a wife with a kid on the way (due in August!), but I try to find as much time as I can for it. Even without any time to actually play, i usually have at least two bots running to keep my accounts active....and rich by selling resources. However, who doesn't have at least one bot running 24/7 anymore? lol. Anyhow, that's just a little intro to a very eager wanna-be scripter :D.

Thankyou for your serving in the military. I assume your American....but you could be British, Canadian or Dutch even. Either way your english is good! Regardless of what country your from serving your country is the highest sacrifice one can make so thanks for helping making the world a safer place for all us civilians. ;)

Luckily I have come back just in time for my son to be born, which will be any day now!! Still very busy and probably won't have much time on here but I will try to be on when life and work allows.
