check the real skill button on you skill scroll and make sure something is set down. You should be gaining in the south east room too.
unless u need to be in the south west room a bit longer.

Have you used my detect hidden script?
It took me into the 90's and probably would have gone to 100 but I moved to a different location.
-
i have tried Gudah's and sorrowmasters
-
and neither cerveza's or mine... smacks hands. those two don't even play anymore let alone maintain code. ;D
-
sorrowmasters brought me to 64, but just quit working. i will switch to your right now
-
No no no... that's okay... Just go over to EUO and ask sorrowmaster for help. OH WAIT! She quit YEARS AGO lol.
Just get Guadah on the line.... OH WAIT! ROFL
So you use stuff from "over there" and it doesn't work so you come over here to get help.... I think you've learned an important lesson here ;)
-
no, i have quit going there, unless easyuo goes down. I've had Gudah's multi skill trainer for over a year or so and it still works on some skills. i honestly love how you get help over here and no I'm not a leech either with scripts. I would love to write scripts, but just can figure out the wording and I'm actually in a programming class right for school. just started 2 weeks ago. I will try C2's and if nothing in an hour i will switch to your's and try that.
-
You'll do fine with c2's. That is *if* he fixed the #findCnt bug that I discovered.... :-\

didn't change that because i wasn't quite sure what you were seeing in there. i couldn't reproduce and significant waits. PM me wht the sub areas look like. I did four guys without ever having an issue.
-
OMG you were wasting 11 seconds each cycle.... I'll post it in the Script discussion.

Or mine.
There are a number of Detect scripts here that DO work.

sorry guys, won't happen again. I swear

we are teasing :D

i know. the _C2_ script works great though. went from 64 to 70 in a short time. a few over nighters an i think I'm good

i'm not... it scans each attempt. i sat there and counted for two minutes without ever missing a beat. i think you think it is written differently than it actually is.

Why bother doing ignore at all anyhow? You can gain off the same container over and over.
Jesterboo, once you get to a certain point, say 90 or so, you should just put a Miasma trunk in your pack. Not sure if C2's looks in the pack but the XIIx does. Either way, a Miasma trunk will help you gain faster at the higher levels.

It's my understanding that different boxes/crates have different levels of difficulty. That's why they recommend a room at Vesper bank for different levels of Detect.
If you do the same container, and it's not one that gives optimal gains, then you are wasting time. Cycling through all containers gives you a better chance of hitting one in your "gain range".

Yes, there are different levels of trunks thus different spots you should be at when training. I'm also thinking this conversation is sounding familiar! ;) I think the most effective way is to place your character in locations that don't have a variety of trunk levels.

:) and I think putting the char in a useful spot and switching targets is mos effective :P
Especially when I throw OMG's Watcher into the training :o

Optimally one would trap some trunks at different levels of tinkering and then designate each trunk in the Setup process, kind of like what I do with my Lockpicking trainer.

mine has two versions:
one vesper bank becuse folks insist on likeing that place and it is easy to do
the other crafted packs in crates a skill level ranges that is superior in speed of training due to the tiered levels, better than vesper. this one is not a favorite of all due to the need to have trapped chests at varying levels but i made them once and use them often.
Using a different taget everytime does nothign for gains. anti macro code is long since gone. arms lore doesn't needa a house of weapons; it needs one dagger to complete. All skills but taming are like that now.
-
So you will gain the same from trapped boxes made by a 30 skill tinker and a 100 skill tinker?
-

no... you will keep gaining of the same box at the same pace you would gain off three similar boxes until the skill range is wrong. I was refering to the need for multiple targets at the same skill range not going zero to GM. I misunderstood your statement. We agree that you benefit from different level trapped boxes along the way to increase gains. but i was referring to not gaining any faster with one or five of the same level boxes.
-
Right, I guess the point that I'm making is that if you concentrate on one box, and it's of the wrong level to gain, you will be wasting all of your time until that box disappears and a new one appears, and then you will maximize gains only if that new box is in the right range for gains.
By cycling all the time your chances of hitting a box with the correct range to gain is greatly increased.
I'll put a statement in my script... For maximum gains use the correct level of tinker trapped boxes in your backpack. If you only have the ones for your level of gains on you and stand in a location without any other crates/boxes/etc... then you will always cycle the correct ones.
Actually, now that you have me thinking about it.... have 3 boxes in your pack. One from a 30's tinker, 60's tinker, 90's tinker... have the setup identify which one is which and have it detect ONLY on the one that maximized your gains for that level, then switch to the next.

agreed! That is what i have my in pack version do. it moves on to next crate when you enter the next skill gain range. anyways... we are saying the same thing overall.
