Title: Water Barrels

Do water barrels surrounding your entry way keep spawn away?

I see a bunch of them and was wondering if they worked... I know they don't block recall spots. I tried it a while back to keep a guy off my Valorite supply. He just recalled on top of the water barrel.

I did get my first PoM offa that guy... Play in Fel, expect to die in Fel.

Not sure but easy to test. The ones outside of my castle were there when I placed, made it easy to know where to place ;)

I always assumed people were just decorating...

I saw them at a bunch of places when I was looking around for a spot... Just wondering if there's any real reason for it.

Tested, spawn walks right across them with no issues. I think it's just a deco thing, kind of like the next best thing to a fence or, if you play Seige, a road (in Yew).

water barrels used to be placed to stop placement of housing, during Idocs.. that was changed a while back....
I used water barrels not to long ago to Spell the Word "Gay" in front of this guys house.... I don't think he's logged in for months.

i also thought folks did that to line up placing a house with the image when they changed how they block but that was just me and my wild thoughts.

It was a way of blocking. I think this was fixed.
