Howdy all,
I stopped by here once or twice to check out what you all had, but never stuck with it. I'm running my own server now, and came to look for scripts to suggest to my players.
Just thought I'd say hello as long as I'm here. :)

Welcome back; I see you over at EasyUO. Are you playing Lexia? I still play there sometimes - I'm a fisherman extreme. Alwilda and Patrick Starr are my fishermen over there with my main characters being Kimmy and Miffy.

Welcome Back

Thanks!
No, I don't play lexia... I tried it once or twice, but without knowing anyone it was sort of hard to enjoy.
Now I'm just playing on a freeshard I created with some friends... we've been having a lot of fun (I discovered the trick is to never ever use your gm powers, ever. lol)

Thanks!

I have thought many times about setting up a personal shard just for myself. Not only would I not have to worry about lag issues, but then I COULD abuse the gm powers all I wanted to. lol I could have the sweetest weapons know to man. :)

That only stays entertaining for about an hour... then you realize you can do anything, and it's no longer a challenge, so it loses all fun.
It is nice for testing ideas though. It's too bad you can download an exact copy of an OSI server (made for just one server instead of divided, mind you), just for the sake of being able to test everything exactly as they are.
Anyway, setting up a personal shard is actually stupid easy:
Download runuo.
Double click the .exe in the runuo folder.
Wait for it to load, and set up your owner account.
Download razor (if you don't have it), and connect to the local address (I never can remember that one, I think it's 127.0.0.1, the runuo server window will tell you).
You win.
