The Forged Metal of Artifacts looks like a blaze colored piece of forged metal.

Umm... Oh my!
100% success chance for enhancing?? I vowed a while back not to spend another actual dime on this game, but these just may force me to change my stance..
That purely insane LRC/LUCK suit would be easily achievable. Let alone the 6 mod HCI woodland sampire suits..
My brain is spinning with the possibilities right now.. :D
Thanks for posting this up Massacre!

:D :D :D
Nevermind.. Just found one for sale on my shard!!
I'm off to go toy with this thing!
-
Let us know how well it works and any caveats that you may have when using it!
-
One for sale on Pac, 20M. That's a good price, actually, based purely on the cash/gold cost.
-
@ NObama: ;) That's the one I currently own.
@UOMaddog: I just finished making a couple luck pieces for my tamer's suit. Worked like a *bleep'n* charm!!
140 Luck
20 LRC
8 LMC
2 MR
-Various resist boosts to round out the suit
Quite frankly, I think this little thing is WELL worth the 10 bucks it costs if you don't have the time, or want to spend the time ingredient gathering just to watch your item break during enhancing.
Next up is the 2 pieces I have to redo on my mage suit now that reflect has been changed. Then I'll probably burn the last 5 charges toying with godly woodland pieces for my sampire.
-
Wait so this will also guarantee a 100% enhance chance as well?? If so, I might as well just make an uber suit that'll cost me $10!
EDIT: So I just re-read the description and realized that it wasn't the imbuing chance that got increased, it was the enhancement (usually AFTER the imbue). WOW!
-
You got it!! It guarantees the enhance afterward. :D
In a nutshell.. For $10 and some gold for imbuing ingredients, you can have the most insane suit (or two) possible.
This thing is incredible!
-
I'll be buying with one in game gold the second I get the chance, of that there is little doubt...
With that said there is something I don't like about Uogamecodes/UO introducing in items like this in the UO virtual world.
Now the crafting market will sufffer. POF sales will decline. Sale of Imbueing ingredients will decline. SA monsters will be farmed less.
What ,if any, are the long term effects of introducing items like this into the game?
Maybe it's too soon to tell. Maybe I'm a conspiracy nut/doomsayer.
Perhaps there are no negative effects and all the benefits end up being only good. I know I'm walking around in a grade B woodland suit simply because I don't want to go through the headache of crafting a high end suit.
On the flip side everyone and their brother will be walking around in insane high end suits. This sometimes opens the door to players getting bored and quitting after having achieved the goal of attaining insane weapon and suits of armor. Many might get feel there is nothing left for them to farm or work towards.
I dunno...
Time will tell.
Or maybe that's when UO releases another Booster.
-
I agree with you.. Items like these are super cool, but they should only raise the chance, not guarantee for one.. and items that have an actual effect on the combat system in the game should not be for sale through EA, period. Even if these items were to drop from actual monsters, they should be rare drops, such as tangle or something.

That was one of my main reasons for posting this up. I think items coming from UO codes like this will eventually destroy UO.

lol i would use this on one of the 50 ssi bows from that old invasion
-
Ther is one for sale on chessy for 11M almost worth transfering to get it :)
-

I think I tried to imbue one of those quite a while ago and was unable to.. Would be crazy if you could, and then enhance that puppy! lol

Do not know if you can now, but you where able to imbue them early on when imbuing first came out. Several of us have a handful already imbued that we would like to enhance 8)
-
I was on an extended UO vacation when you were still able to imbue them, stinks I missed out on that.
Have never been able to enhance one though as far as I can remember. You've always got the "always possesses a special material" message. Having 60ssi on a heavy without needing any on your suit would be quite insane!
-
Thats good for normal suits I still would not use it on woodland 1/7 to get HCI 5%. All mats for woodland imbuing is so easy to get except relic fragments and I need 4 of them per piece.
-
Now that my mage and tamer suits are complete thanks to the tool, I plan on using the rest of the charges on it and the second one I bought for redoing my woodland sampire suit.
I went with a second rate suit the first time around because I didn't feel like spending huge amounts of money trying to get the perfect 6 mod pieces that I would have liked to have. My thought is even if I only get one of the 4 pieces to enhance with HCI per tool that I buy (Keep finding them for 20m each btw), A total of 100m for the completed suit is well worth it in comparison to what it would cost to keep imbuing and breaking the amount that I was.
Being able to add 32+ LMC on top of the 30+ MI, SI, and 25 HPI on the suit will allow me to completely turn into a chain AI bomber. I personally think this is well worth the cost of the tools. ;)
-
I got ahold of three of these tools for less than 15 mil each :)
-
I paid 12.8M for a 10 Charge Forged Metal of Artifacts on Sonoma. One would think that the price would be equivalent to the cost of a legacy token being that they both cost the same ($9.99) over at uogamecodes.com. Somewhere in the range of 12-18M.
People are gouging when asking for 20M or 30M.
I'll definitely snatch up a few more if I come across any that are priced reasonably.
-
I definitely wouldn't pay more than 20 mil per. Figured at a gold/cash exchange rate of 50c per mil, it's well worth the price.
Just wish I could find some for the prices you folks are getting a hold of them for. :)
