Cats rule! Dogs too! I love animals! :)

That banket my cat is in, I had just brought it home from a gift exchange at Christmas and we had the "talk." I told her it was my blanket and under no cimcumstances was she to lay on it, or I'd make her into a pair of slippers. As you can see, she listens very well.

Our girl Riley.

This was my crested gecko collection. I don't have them anymore, but I used to have 8 adults and about 45 babies. I am thinking of breeding them again, it can be quite profitable.

@ suntigress is that a golden?
-
Yes Mass, it is. I know she looks like a drowned rat! She was only 20 months old.

I'll post a pic of my girlfriends new wiener dog once I take a picture of it. Its 2 years old and day 3 of us having him, he got off the leash while I was taking him for a walk. Made a dead straight dash for my neighbors cow pasture and began herding about 15 cattle. Had to chase him for over an hour until finally he took off into the woods. Being the stupid Person I am, pursued the 8 inch tall dog into the thick of the forest and wound up running smack into a barbed wire fence(it was almost pitch black by this point).
Now I have 3 good sized gashes on my arm and 2 on my face. Tomorrow I go to get a tetnis shot........
Dog is curled up next to my girlfriend in bed right now......

@manwinc ^^^^^^^^^^^ heheheheheheheh

I was gonna post a picture of my fiance here, but then I realized that since I keep her off-leash most of the time, she no longer qualifies as a pet :( :P
-
I imagine she bites though, that's a mark in favor of her being a pet. :P
-
the first cat is called Ditto, then Tank is our Dog, the last one is named Tubbs
-
OK, just hafta ask, whats with all the pussy cats and small dogs???
-
Maybe a lot of ScriptUO posters live in apartments where large dogs aren't allowed and/or like cats? There's not a correlation between a person's masculinity and their choice of pet. A dog has the same size heart regardless of the size of its body.
-
hmmmmmmmmmmmm........ I didn't read anything about masculinity, or the size of a pets heart.
Do I sense some SMS? ;)
-
I'm just sensitive about pets... worked in animal shelters for about three years. Didn't mean to come off as snippy. :)

It's easy for me. I travel alot, and sometimes I have to leave my pets alone for a bit of time. Can't do that with dogs of any size without dealing with a mountain of poo. Cats fit my lifestyle.
Anyhow, too much yappin, not enough pic post'n.

It must be a golden thing.

My black lab has the same duck thats in the first picture. She carries it with her everywhere, even to bed.
-
I bet you all play tamers, too.
I refuse to pick up poo from something that doesn't spring from my own DNA.

Animals are therapeutic. They give off alot of positive energy and soothe us humans making us relax more which translates into human beings with pets living longer.
Best get yourself some familiars soon buddy! 8)

This thread makes me sad. Had to have my cat of 14 years, Lapis Lazuli, put down last summer and the summer before was my Dobie/Black Lab mix, Epi (short for Epitaph), who I also had for 14 years. We're petless now, found out my son is allergic to dogs and my wife is allergic to cats so there is neither in my immediate future. I REALLY want a border collie when the time comes, we'll see what the future brings; my son already grew out of a peanut allergy, this one may pass too.

Hey, I love cats - the flatter, the better.

It sucks when you have to put your pet down. They are family members, so it really does hurt. I had to put my golden down 5 years ago and I'm still missing him. He was only 5 and had liver cancer. I feel like *bleep* because i had to scold him to come inside one time before I knew he had cancer and he just wanted to rest his belly in the snow.
Have you looked into hypoallergenic dogs?

This thread was time for me. A few years ago, I lost two of my cats I had for nearly 20 years and was ultimately sad and heartbroken for a very very long time. However, new creatures come into our lives and we put those times behind us.

How allergic is your wife? I've got allergies too, but that's never stopped me from working with animals and keeping a billion pets. Sometimes if you keep an animal around for a while your body gets used to them and doesn't have as much of an allergic response. It also helps a lot if you vacuum daily and don't let the cats and dogs sleep with you.
