Title: Question on file Hosting
Post by: gimlet on February 19, 2011, 02:24:49 PM
I am looking for a place where I can keep some files for download by anyone.
Id like people to be able to download my files without registering.
I would also like it to be free.
Anybody know a good place like that?
Thanks

They have a limit and after so many day of inactivity they will delete the files if you are not checking them or downloading them but they dont require an account.

File Hosting (http://fastfreefilehosting.com/)

Host a website!  :P  I actually need to get my website back up and running (re-wired the house and bought a new router, haven't configured it to allow network traffic through to the server)

mediafire, hotfile, megaupload, duckload, fileserve are some..

I don't mess around with these too much, but I think you'd be good with fileserve.

You can always use Dropbox and put it in a public folder, then right-click and select "Copy Public Link". That's how I share files nowadays!

Forever. You get 2GB for free and have to pay for more.

I made another post somewhere about Dropbox invitations. I can send you one if you'd like (we each get a bonus 250MB then). Just shoot me a PM with your email! I use it to sync all my files between my different computers (and mobile phone)
