Hello folks,
I guess I'm new here.. I have never played on the official OSI servers and started out my UO life on a little shard called Dark Prowless about ten years ago. Wow... that's going back a way and moved on to World of Warcraft. I played WoW for probably two years before I just got bored with it. It has no depth and I needed a MMO with depth, not just mindless grinding. I jumped around a lot at this point; Guild Wars, Warhammer Online, Everquest, Lord of the Rings Online and recently Rift. All of these games just felt like cheap knockoffs of WoW. That's just my opinion, though, don't bash me if you feel differently..
My only problem these days is I'm not a teen any longer. I'm pushing thirty, have a wife, two kids, and a very good friend I spend copious amounts of time with, and I don't want to turn into an RP junkie again. So do forgive me if my visits are fleeting or I'm not around for "Friday night quests" as often as I might like. In fact, forgive me if two weeks from now I vanish because something else took over my life.
But in the interim I would dearly like to try my hand at some sort of RP interaction (which ranges from drinks at the tavern to chopping trees in the forest) and find out if I miss it as much as I think I do, or if I'm just bored and need more new books to read (or a reason to subscribe to cable TV) the former being more likely. At any rate that's me in a nutshell, if I like what I see and I remain present you will inevitably learn more about me.
But.. all I can say is please keep up the good work, I greatly apprecaite it as im sure everyone does! Now it's time to play again!
PD. I need a shovel :-\ hahaha

I don't agree about Guild Wars fitting into that category... But like you said "it was your opinion" ;D Guild Wars 2 looks promising but more than anything I am anxiously awaiting SWTOR. Hope you have fund in UO... Welcome and Good Luck.
