As requested by Paulonius, i am doing a little up to date on the new account management system.
Here via UO Stratics we have a step by step guide to setting up accounts you never plan on getting banned. Yes you CAN add in accounts that aren't associated with the email you registered as your master account.

Since this obviously will not apply to anyone that will ever read this, it leaves a situation bigger than what's on Jersey Shore. What do WE do with our scripting accounts?
Since it's still unknown wether marks on accounts effect master accounts some are trying to make alt master accounts. It was also said on Stratics the new TOS says only one master account. It also goes on to say they're ok in another section (UNVERIFIED INFO)
One person was ip banned (suspecious activity)from using the account management system for making 9 alt master accounts under the emails of his accounts. Until a dev says yes or no to multiple master accounts it is extremely advised to not try to create multiples.
Until the whole process is explained and clarified by Devs or engineers i firmly believe the best process of proceeding in heavy scripting would be by using a proxy server/junker email to register scripting account.

Make other master accounts from public ip and then you have nothing to worry about. Also I do not believe they can say anything if you mention that the other account is actually your neighbors but he is using you credit card because he does not have his own. :)

I have my scriptor account listed under my brother's name. He seriously wants to play the game but can't afford the monthly fee so I am paying for it.

Not a problem at all.
Right now EA/Mythic/Bioware whatever tag they're under right now are being very tightlipped on everything. I haven't seen one single post by staff on even how to set this up so it's up to the players to figure this out.

Just FYI.
If you have not purchased High Sea's. Call EA, wait the time period you have to to get a Tech on the line and said you had purchased a Code before the Merger started, they will escalate it to a higher tech support staff ( a Ticket system ) at which point the Tech that gets your Ticket assigned to him... will just upgrade your account.
I did this just to see, and my account is now High Sea's upgraded. No Code purchased, no Code Receipt requested when I was on the phone or via the Ticket system. Since the Code Redeeming process is broken, you can get away with this for a limited time ( I'm assuming ).
I have already attached both accounts I have together, so if I get a perma ban... of the f*ck well, I guess I'll head over to WoW for good.

As of right now gametime and promo codes still do not work and billing info has YET again been wiped.

Thanks for the update. Really need them to get gametime codes worked out. My mining account is sitting in the account management abyss, and I'm not messing with it until they get those working. :-\

I just got the email saying that my main account is now off but I recieved the same info a week back for another account. I'm not keen to link them all so I'll just wait and see what gives.

Yea... I didn't touch anything until I wasn't able to log into my account. I was able to see that they included the option to cancel an account now but haven't seen an obvious method for dropping an account and registering it to a different email. I am curious if they are trying to eliminate people swapping accounts? To me it makes more since that they would instead be making it so that if you wanted to switch an account to a different owner that they would force you to pay that $30.00 fee for owner transfer that they have made available in the past. It will be interesting to see how they handle this as well as how banning of accounts will work for those of us that have multiple accounts registered under 1 master account.

They shut off one of my accounts for lack of billing info. I actually wanted that one to go down so that worked out well. The account i reactivated and paid for during this mess has had it's billing info wiped yesterday but im also not touching it until it's turned off.
The account transfer is also down as well.
Also: i've had a SA upgrade sitting for almost 2 weeks that i can't use so i called to see if they could manually do it. The tech guy said give them 1 more day then just call and tell whoever it still says invalid code and they will be more than happy to generate new codes and apply them. O'RLLY? I think i deserve a freebie for dealing with thier mess.

I think there are a lot of users that deserve to have a freebie for having to put up with this mess. I have been one of the lucky ones and haven't had anything major happen to me or my accounts. "Yet"

Everyone that uses reoccuring billing may want to check their bank/cc charges.
Seems EA has been overbilling several people for days.
Todays FYI update of the knee high manure mess i now call "the great migration of 2011".

They actually cancelled one of my accounts yesterday because of "incomplete" billing information. It was complete enough for the last 12 years... lol

Yeah one of mine went down but luckily it was the one i wanted to go down so it was good for me.
The one i JUST activated on the 13th had the billing wiped again but it's showing active until 9-13.
But you have to watch because im reading on stratics they're double billing and or billing inactive accounts. It's wierd because it's not hitting every single one just hit and miss on some.

My Atl castle account was cancelled for the same reason. I am going to have to call customer service.

I managed to get it re-instated through the website without a need to call. Their new website is frankly very confusing, but once I got all my accounts linked to the master account, I fumbled long enough to figure it out.

I can't see how it's any different; they knew to link them via my email I used. If they wanted to come after me in the early days, they sure could have.

Good question, I'm still of the mindset to keep all of them separate if possible.

I don't think it's possible to log into account management without having a master account and there's a possibility you could get ip banned for suspicious activity. Also haven't heard any official word if it's acceptable for multiple master accounts.

umm what i meant is... I haven't touched my accounts... I haven't created master accounts .. i just haven't done anything...
On another note their's nothing suspicious having multiple-diff accounts from the same ip. Unless were talking large numbers of accounts banning for that is just plain idiotic.

You may be forced to, EN. That's how they have the new website structured. If your credit card expires, you'll have to convert. I don't see any way around it.

EN: They're ip banning for multiple master accounts (the only way to get in to activate your accounts). They wiped the billing info when they did the switch. Whenever your account is up for renewal you'll have to do it.
I believe i figured out the double billing people are complaining about. I'll put in a timeline to show my theory.
-Aug 13th: migration "complete", billing was wiped people saw the button to subscribe and entered their cc info leading to an auto payment to EA which stacked if their account was still active.
-Aug 20th: Another take down maint that wiped billing info again, for a second time people entered their cc info and hit the subscribe making a double payment to EA within 2 weeks.
When you log in to look at your account it'll give a start date and end date (end date is when your account will be shut down) Even if there's no billing on it, as long as it shows active and you can log in don't screw with it.
When it comes up though i do highly suggest using a prepaid card or just gametime (if they have codes working anytime soon). I haven't found a single way to remove cc/debit card info.
Figured something new out: when looking under your accounts in the account management page it'll show Active or closed.
If it's active it'll show either:
Ultima Online Subscription--This when you pay for it in one form or another
OR
CS UO Subscription---THIS IS A FREEBIE FROM Customer Support. DON'T MESS WITH THIS

When it first came out this poor guy on stratics outside the US had no idea what he was doing and made a different master account for all 7 of his accounts, since they all had different emails attached to them.
He was IP banned for the suspicious activity more than likely an anti hack code on the system. Someone checked into the TOS after he posted that and read multiple master accounts were a no no but then later on down the TOS it looked as if it was going to be ok.
Right now there's no official word on what to do about anything..
Haven't heard anything about scripters cause that's just taboo on the carebear forums ya know.

Well thats plain stupid... some households contain more than one person.. some external IP addresses serve many 100's of people... lol well when i carnt log in i will take a look at see whats going on.

1-866-543-5435 the only toll free #, you'll have to hit 1 for origin then option 2 for other. Wait time is REALLY quick though and the guys are awesome but the women act like they don't give a *bleep*. I've had 2 of each over the past few days so i'm experienced haha..

Codes are re-enabled as of this morning. I am currently having no troubles and upgraded the account i intend to play to SA through the site with no hassle at all. It was very quick and simple.
Under the drop down menu select the account you want to upgrade and scroll down. Hit activate key and copy-paste the upgrade code and enter the anti bot code and that's it.
I like the layout of this system but i still have mixed feelings about this as there's still no way to delete cc info (also heard if your card expires there's no way to update the current card with a new ex date or add the new card again since it's got the same #) and there's no way to unlink accounts to give/sell.

Hey bodfather. Are all codes functioning, including gametime?
Think I'll test setting up a master account with one of my mining accounts to get a feel for the system before I set up one for my main accounts.

Well i set up 3 master accounts without an issue... only linked in 1 account so far as its billing info was declined.... bit of a messy system but ok once i got used to it.
It did show me the option to link many old accounts i had forgotten about and probably dont know the passwords for anyways.

But i've heard Messanna lost his/her job because of this new account system mayhem.
The main thing is if they wipe your billing info don't try to subscribe again because they will double charge you. As long as your account shows Active and gives you an end date you're good to go until that date. That's how i've gotten my trial account for 2 months (they recently shut down) and i've also got a free month on 1 account and i also a month added onto my main account free of charge.

You're exactly right but they Messanna IS responsible for customer relations. There was a bunch of people that "supposedly quit" because they couldn't figure it out or the new system declined their CC. Then you have the MASS amount of people calling tech lines which i assume some had some not so nice words as well.
This is just a rumor and i'm not 100% sure. For all i know he/she could be on vacation but the last word from her was Aug 13th.

their was probably alot of accounts out thier that were being auto billed and the owners were not actively playing the game. If they suddenly stop charging those cards theirs a dam good chance that the owners will not renew.. and thus lost revenue.
