Hi I'm Aries...
I started playing UO during the beta. I went the entire beta without seeing a house, a dragon, or a daemon. I have to say the ending of the beta, with the daemon invasion, was quite a surprise! Anyway, I pre-ordered UO and got the "Charter Edition" version with the cloth map, UO lapel pin, and "autographed" Richard Garriot paper. I still have the whole thing.
I played on Lake Superior and Great Lakes, eventually switching to Siege Perilious. I played mages, tamers, and DP-fencers. I've been both blue and red. I was also a Senior Counselor on the Pacific shard (until the counselor program exploded in everyones' faces!). I played for...gosh...had to be like 8 years until I finally quit. But I've been missing it lately, so my brother got me into a freeshard which I'm enjoying so far. It allows unattended macroing, so here I am!
I'm a VERY novice scripter. I did one semester of computer programming (C++) in college and hated it. If only I'd known I would one day need it for UO, I might've stuck with it... LOL
So...that's my two bit UO life's history... Thanks to everyone who writes and posts scripts, and helps those like me muddle through them!
