Doing MIBs, the CLAW issue doesnt kick in so soon. Will takes a lot of MIBs like 100 and above to see slowness happening. The fastest way is to kill and get CLAW to scan all corpse at high spawn rate area.

Anyhow, I'll test a bit this weekend running the script looting my MIBs and see if I see a drift in loot times.

Thanks for spending your time to test it, I am still using easyuo for everything possible in UO. Usually the delay will happen quite bady after 2 hours of looting. And I dont see that looting anything or nothing make a different. I tested only looting gold and a few rules which will almost loot nothing. Doesnt make much different.

Thanks for the PM.  Nothing is changing very much from the variable world.  I recommend you going through all your Rules in the "Rules" tab and de-selecting everything that has a "Log?" checked.  This will prevent the "History" tab from getting too large and this might slow things down.  You can also check your history tab and see how many items have been cataloged over time.  If the number is large, then removing the logging might speed things up a bit.

Actually, there's a variable at the top of the script called "%use_history" that you can change to #FALSE to turn off all history collection.  You might try that first instead of unchecking everything to be logged.

If that doesn't work then I'm at a loss.

I had sent you a pm, anyway I will try to use set %use_history #FALSE and see if it helps. I will keep you posted, thanks a lot for your help. I realized noone else is having the issue as I did not see anyone replied in the post or because noone is using long enough to notice the issue?

How many rules in total do you have?  Also, are you running any other scripts in parallel with the looter?

I have seen sometime when loot time increases as run time also increases, but not nearly what you're experiencing.

The real only thing that we have control over is the size of the variables that are accumulated over runtime.  You might want to take a snapshot of your vardump (Tools/VarDump) when you first start the script, and then take one when you start experiencing slowness.  Then compare the sizes (in bytes or lines) of the 2.

It's been a while since I did an analysis like this.  Feel free to PM me your results, but don't post the actual vardumps because there's account specific information.

Also, there's an older version still posted.  You might want to try that and see if it works differently.

I had tested the old version too. They are both about the same after 1 to 2 hours of nonstop looting. I had pm you my vardump files. By the way, how can we control the size of the variables that accumulated over runtime? Is there a way to clear easyuo cache while running it or the namespace data?

Thanks for your reply, TM. I'll try using vardump before and after running the script for a few hours. I'm also running another script that calls CLAW to check loot. Additionally, I'll test an older version to see if the scan time increases over time with that as well. Actually, I noticed this issue a while ago, but since I wasn’t running it for long periods, I just lived with it until now, lol.

I’m noticing that scan times are increasing over time. Initially, scanning 3 Omit rules and 9 Active rules takes around 1.5 to 1.9 seconds for 5-7 items. However, the scan time gradually increases. After an hour, the same rules take about 23 to 27 seconds, and it continues to rise. The last time I tested it, after 2 hours and 30 minutes, each scan was taking 39 to 45 seconds. The only way to reset it is to stop the script, reload it in EasyUO, and start again, but eventually, the scan time increases again with each scan per corpse.

Anyone had encountered this issue and is there a fix for that? I am using the version 0.783.

Hey, yesterday I started gathering information for a new plant tender written in OrionUO, and decided to read through this topic for information. I'm surprised this still works to some degree... This was one of my first scripts, and writing this is how I started learning EUO... Got a nostalgic vibe reading through this... There was so much information about plants and everything that I used to know that I don't remember anymore... Such a weird feeling...

Anyway, thank you everyone for the testing and all the changes suggested throughout the topic. Will come back here after I finish the OrionUO script...

Yes it is still a great tool till now, thank you so much. I did some further improvement to be able to use potion kegs and also moving bowl with dirt to backpack. I am trying to check for emptied resources and seeds plant then turn them into decorative, pick up and cut with clipper. Had tried using kalocr but it couldnt recognize 0/0 for resources and seeds. Not sure if anyone have done that portion.

Sure take you time TM, preview mode is very useful as i dont want the script to loots tons of stuff and i can go thru preview and select which item i really want to pick up.

Take a look at it making sure everything is logged.  I think it's actually working the way I designed it.

Yes i will check later when to make sure all is logged and update again. I didnt know the log check box is for this function.

One strategy for getting tritons, and making money from them, is to have up to 8 high seas enabled accounts, EJ or paid. On Beacons, Each character that takes a shot gets a mythic box. But you only get one per toon. So if you use 8, you get 80K points. Get 1 triton every 2 beacons.

Sound like a good idea but will be hard to have 8 high sea enabled accounts alone. Confirm will need friends to help and i dont have any friend playing ultima online anymore.

Sounds like more than one bug there.  Frankly the preview is something nobody ever really used so it never got much use.  If I can find some time, I'll look into it.

Triton is a pet redeemed from points doing High Seas content that started about a year ago. You turn in chests for points. You get these chests from doing the orc beacons or pirating ships. Turn in the chests (I forget the exact name, but they have several named levels) which are very colorful but are not a container you can use.

These points get turned in to a NPC near the bank at Buc's Den. You also redeem the pet there.

You will actually get a statuette of the pet. You have to double click the statuette to redeem the pet. Make sure you redeem it somewhere in Tokuno. This allows you to add the samurai based skills to the pet, if you decide to go that route.

Tritons have high wrestling and resist, so no need to use scrolls for those skills usually. I think wrestling can be as low as 110's, but as high as maybe 130. Resist spells is much higher - going to 170+. These have the healing like cu sidhes - so make an excellent tank in many situations. That is the short definition.

In order to learn to do the beacons, you can always create a character on another shard to join someone to show you how to do it. There are several of us who can do that and would probably be willing to help. Shared knowledge is kinda what this place is about - IMHO.

Gaderian

Thanks a lot Gaderian, sure i would like to find out how to do that. Wil arrange a time to create a toon to your shard and figure out.

Also, do you have a bard (preferably 4x legendary) on the other account from the tamer? You could multi box roof easily with tamer and bard running peace buffs

my tamer is actually a 4X legendary bard but lost peace and prov skill in the soul stones when house collapse. Another account have 3X legendary and 115 discord. So that should not be an issue. Gonna practise multi box skill lol

Google Shadowguard. YOu will need a Frost dragon or WW or Cold Drake for Belfry. For other rooms, a Firebeetle with rune corruption, armor pierce, and frenzied whirlwind. Scroll Ninjitsu as high as you can. Rest 110 will work. For roof, Triton with Chiv, Repel, AI, Feint. Makes it super tanky. Run consume. Preferred couple with a discord tamer, but any good cast/heal tamer.

All my pets are old pets, some are useless now as their control slot are too high for training. But for my WW, will keep it for now as I dont have 120 PS to train it. Just tamed a fire beetle recently and waiting for bonded to train it. Dont know what is a Triton and will google that. A lot of work to redo my tamer as well. :0
