« Last post by Kz on September 16, 2025, 02:10:13 AM »Hello everyone, I recently started using OrionUO and became very interested in its scripting features. I decided to join this forum to study and learn more about scripting, and to find useful examples and advice from experienced users. 
I also enjoy playing Ultima Online itself — I’ve always liked tamers and crafting professions, and I’ve recently returned to playing on the OSI servers. I’m looking forward to learning from you all and hopefully contributing in the future.

I’m new here—you can call me aMu. I’ve been knee-deep in *Ultima Online* for close to 20 years now; these days I mostly stick to FS shards, but I’ve been itching to jump back to OSI sometime soon. I’m also an amateur scripter—always digging for new tricks to tweak my animal-taming macros or Bard skill loops, so if you’ve got a tip that’s saved you hours? Spill the tea!
My go-to build’s a tamer/Bard hybrid—never strayed from it once I figured out how good it is. I fell for taming way back when my older sister rambled about her UO adventures 20+ years ago: she’d wander the fields outside Britain, herding wild rabbits into little makeshift pens by the Britain Inn, cooing at ’em like they were pets… then panic-scream when a stray dire wolf wandered in and took one down. For my first few years, I was a basic mage-tamer—spamming Fireball, slapping Pet Heal on my mount, and calling it a day—until I messed with Discordance (thanks, guild mate who forced me to try Bard skills!). Now? I won’t roll a tamer without it. It’s not just a skill—it’s my secret weapon against tough mobs like ettins or even young dragons.
Lemme think… what else to share? Oh, right—on OSI, I had a perfect-stat pure mare named Luna. She was my pride and joy. Every Saturday morning, I’d grab her and my other mare, Piper (named after my favorite *Ultima* lore character—don’t judge!), and head out to farm swoops in the woods near Yew. My ex used to borrow my account sometimes to run errands, and he’d lose his mind if he even let Luna take a single hit. I’d log on later to 10 messages like, “I almost got your girl killed—I’m so sorry! I spammed Pet Res three times just in case!” Ridiculous, but low-key sweet he cared that much.
Oh, and one little flex I still smile about: when *Mondain’s Legacy* (ML) dropped, I camped out in the Eodon Jungles on Napa Valley for a solid week—no breaks, just snack runs and watching for that blaze cu sidhe spawn. Ended up taming one of the first ones on the server. I ran back to my guild hall and spam-called everyone to show it off; I bragged about it for *weeks*. Total “I was there when UO got ML” moment—you gotta hold onto those, right?
