Hi, my name is Jacob.
I've been playing since UO Renaissance (so I definitely missed the golden age). Still, I've always loved UO more than any other MMO.. Nothing comes close from what I've found. (Always open to suggestions, but I've spent hours and hours searching in vain.) I've been leaving briefly and then coming back ever since.
I do consider myself a noob at the game though. I don't know any hacks or secrets.. I can't write scripts. I could sometimes fix very simple problems with EUO scripts, but never got close to writing them myself.
Still, there's nothing quite like the satisfaction of a working script! I never really fully discovered the enjoyment of UO until I was able to do away with some of those extremely annoying repetitive tasks and I feel like I've learned as much about the basics of coding as I ever did reading or watching a lecture by seeing how scripts work in UO.
I started playing on Sonoma and stayed there for a long time but, since I got the bug again, have been on Atlantic. Also was thinking of trying a free shard.
So I'm definitely looking for people who can help me learn more about the game and increase my enjoyment of it and learn more about scripting.
