Hello All,
I originally started playing UO back in 1999 but quit in about 2001 and took a very very long break, 10 years actually. I have been playing MMOs since UO and tried a few and even played WOW for about 5 years. While WOW was fun i missed the sandbox element of UO and the only game that was close to it was Star Wars Galaxies but that changed when the new updates where implemented. I did try to play UO again while I was deployed to Iraq because I remembered playing the game on dial up and thought hey maybe with my crappy internet I have over here I can play UO. But that didn't work out as planned and my latency was way to high like 4000-8000. I decided to quit wow a couple of months ago and decided to come back to UO because I just wasn't having fun playing wow anymore. Now that I have been back for a couple months I am loving playing UO again just like I did 10 years ago and I love all the changes and updates. Just to give you a reference of when I quit they had just opened up Tram but you couldn't play houses yet so a lot has changed since I have been gone.
Some personal information about me is I love watching pro and college football, I was in the Army for four years, and I live in Georgia. I am currently a student in college trying to finish up my degree and I go back into the Army but this time into the reserves. I am hoping to squeeze in some sort of computer programing class so I maybe get an understanding on how to write scripts to help contribute to the community. I took a programing class back in high school so looking at some of the scripts is not completely foreign but I am very inexperienced.
I want to thank all the script authors and thanks for all the effort you guys have put in and I look forward to joining the community.
