Its when your logic gets so complicated that you have no idea what the hell is going on, so instead of thinking about it, you just randomly start changing the mathematical Operators.

I was always told by my professor that code quality can be measured in WTFs per minute (WTF/min). Lower is better :)

LoL! I love the one about LaTeX. We had to use it for all our papers in my Comp Sci classes. I honestly loved it because it did turn out beautiful, but it was a pain in the @$$ sometimes to get certain things placed correctly on the pages.
