Greetings to you all, I have played UO for alot of years and lately have been doing my own test server type thing. I used to use easyuo when i was playing on others free servers to help get used to the servers. Now i am back looking to find ways to let others and me to use easyuo on my server. Seems something has broken easyuo for the newest UO. I am just learning the scripts for runuo so now i plan on figuring easyuo out as well. I seen a couple of post on a couple of items that might help me out. Maybe some day I'll be able to actually help someone here.
Ok here we go Boys and Girls, As said above I have played Ultima Online ever since 1998. So i do know the game just not too much about the new SA stuff. My wife hates the game since I do spend a lot of time on it instead of on her. We have gone down the path of love and hate ever since 1998, so bear with me. I used to own and run a free server back in 99 to 2001 and it was called Dragon Lords but back then i had no knowledge about scripting for runuo or any other type of server. After I shut down my server I went away for awhile and tried to learn new things and learn how the code works. I have come full circle from just running a shard to actually being able to code stuff and make my new shard more better with newer content. I was playing on a few free shards the last four years and learning how to use everything over again ad bam right back to using easyuo.
. I am still amazed by what you all can do here with your coding, it blows my mind.
I forgot to mention my Son is a gamer as well and he just turned 13, so i have a lot to deal with in my household. So many attitudes since his birthday just 3 months ago. I do not remember being that way my first teen year lol. but every generation has there own things to bring into the mix. At least he is not like my friends son who racked up 1200 dollars on credit cards on ebay whew. He does play with me sometimes on UO but he also likes the Xbox. I cant stand the controllers myself. But I do do the bowling on xbox(he hates it by the way, and i make him bowl with me
.
The boy and me also played wow for a while together but as always games that have levels just dont do it for me. There is always a end game to it i feel. That what always brings me back to Ultima Online, the world aspect of it. You can play for a few months leave come back and it is always there. The world that never ends and then when you find a few good friends it just makes it all that much better. Come to think of it, My older brother met his wife on my old server. They used to go out and Dungeon hunt a lot together and then i started finding them just sitting and fishing lol in game and talking. You know they are still together and living in Waco, Texas.
So to be honest with you I think I will always be on A Ultima shard if it is my own or someone elses, this game is that type of game which you always have fond memories of, and it brings you back in to the mix. And speaking of mixes, Come on, Really? Manwiches is the best you can do! you guys need some good homemade Tacos. Way more better then a sloppy joe and it has all the food groups in it.
