On the basis of some helpful responses here and a LOT of help from Mass I think I have isolated my multi-client issue on my new machine as a heat issue that I will address with some hardware mods. Thanks for the input everyone.
The multi issue using the UOXL New button on my other two machines is still unresolved, but I got some ideas from UOMaddog that I am going to work through next.
