Good God it has been a while since I played UO.
I started in 1999, shorty after Uo came out of Beta. Picked Pacific and always played there. This was wayyy back in the days where the Brit Cross roads were THE place to get robbed or killed or both (long before Trammel).
After getting killed many, MANY times I remember one time running from Yew to Brit and a Red jumps me, my pulse was racing and palms went sweaty, I was 4x gm by then, and started whalloping him. I didn't want to kill him so (PKs suffered permanent stat loss back then) I was frantically trying to type for him to stop attacking me, he didn't listen and paid the ultimate price. When I looted him I realized he was just a brigand NPC. Felt like such a tool and actually laughed out aloud to my self. The days before Tram, were different (if any of you feel particularly nostalgic i suggest you Google Adventures of Adam Ant, god hilarious RP stories) but I am enjoying the new content too.
Anyways I am in my late 30s now and started playing again to see what is different. I don't generally use scripts for EVERYTHING, as I am in no rush, however automation of boring repetitive actions is always welcome. I always liked writing scripts myself, but after the extended leave I will need to get brushed up a bit (read that as looking over others work

)
Anywho so that is my very brief history of UO.
Cheers everyone and happy gaming!
