2 unhandled exceptions
« on: July 27, 2009, 08:12:11 AM »

Here's what I was doing. Last night, I was 'tidying-up' my WT script (over 4700 lines, if that matters) and did a search and replace. I entered into the search 'gosub' with ignore case Off. I placed in the 'replace' text box 'GoSub'. I had over 200 found results. As soon as I hit the 'Replace all' button, I got the exception. This is all with the 227 version. I elected to quit the program, then decided to open the 212 version. I may have the versions backwards, but I used them both. After 212 started, I went to the File, open, selected the WT script again, and was greeted by another UE.

As of this moment, whenever I open a script, I get the same UE in both versions.

Here are both UE's:

Ah, ya, I have that one on the list to fix.  They aren't fail types though.  The program continues to work as long as you don't exit.

There's actually a couple other crash issues with the search/replace.  :)

Cool, at first I thought I had clicked on something that invoked the error. Good to know it's on your radar  8)

For that second one, you might have to go into your registry and delete the SUO registry stuff.  I'm not sure how that one happened....

I'll be redoing all the setup stuff from the registry whenever I can get around to doing the user preferences section of the program.  Someday... lol

Ya, I thought I'd have to since it occurs with both versions. I had wanted to ask you 'bout that and the safety in what and whatnot to remove.

you can just remove everything in the "ScriptUO" key.  EN pointed out that I'm not actually placing the SUO stuff in the software section of your registry.  If you do a registry search for ScriptUO, you should find it.

That did it. There were 10 items in the key.  All are now gone and I have no UE's :) Thanks as always TM !

That one was a bit strange because I was actually handling that exception.  I'm not sure why that was crashing.....
