That's a nice little package. I designed an OMAP board a few years back and it's a fun CPU to use. My only problem is sometimes the ARM9 core debugging can be annoying and glitchy, and the debugging hardware is really expensive for the good ones ($1400/pod). Never had any problem with the DSP core, though. But it was fun getting Linux running on it.
One of the projects on my plate is a generic CPU board probably based on a ColdFire (Freescale) with a software suite to plug-n-play the CPU functions without really requiring much knowledge of the nitty gritty. Embedded programming can be annoying at times, so I'd like to take some of that pain away. My newly found .NET knowledge will help make that easier.
