General Discussion / No Z Axis for tradeskill equipment. (Forges, Soulforges)

This is an old bug, but not many people know it. There is no Z axis for things you need to stand near to do crafting...

i.e. Soulforge's, Forges, Anvil's, and the like.

What does this mean? Well your crafting room just got bigger!

example: In my keep, the first main room you enter is my crafting room, but I placed the soulforge, forges and anvils on the roof. I am able to smith and imbue on the first floor because the code does not mention Z axis for them. So I have a ton of chests and no forge or soul forge in my crafting room. Gives you a lot of room to store all your supplies for all trade skills within arms reach because you dont need to work around those big bulky things.

Well I got mul files working and as promised, heres the stump hack. (wrong section? IDK)

If you are using mul files, just drop these in there and overwrite.

Make sure you drop all three files in there....

Art.mul
Artidx.mul
artLegacyMUL.uop

I dont know why it wont work without the uop file, but it wont and get an error on load. I am pretty sure though the client is running legacy as well as uop to get mining and lumberjacking to work.

Let me know what you think. Fibromyalgia is killing me from all that clicking.....revised about 350 files in art.mul

Removed:
All Foliage - Leaves, Lillypads, Flowers.
Anything that sat on the ground like Garbage and Refuse.
Vines and Flowers.
Mushrooms (Except Changa Model)
Anything that served no purpose was removed.
All trees converted to stumps
Sails removed from older ships, mast replaced with pier icon.

This is a hack for functionality, not pretty houses. Therefore, some house plants have been removed and or converted to stumps. Please keep a backup of your files.

Well been about what? 3 or 4 years? So Origin was DEAD. Not that I dont mind dead, but even vendors were dead. So switched over to LS and rebuilding from there. I need to get (or borrow) a few things for anyone there. Also need info

Things:
Need about 6 pet summoning balls (can you believe I dont know where to get them???)
Need to acquire or borrow a commodity deed box for about a week.
Need some PS 110-120 (Swords, Tactics, Bushido, Parrying)
Need 120 Smithing and Imbuing PS
Need a couple Ethys.
Need Coffee
Need help Taming Greater Dragon/Rune Beetle
I need at minimum 6 Soul Seekers (forgot where they drop at lol)

Info:
1. Still 7 days to bond pets? (Besides the $5 potion from EA)
2. New dungeon, where is it? The blackthorn dungeon. (Assuming blackthorns castle)
3. Whats the changes to factions? I notice on Origin my gear is normal arties and has a lifespan?

4. The forged Metal Tool (100% chance at enhancing.) can that be used on Imbued gear??? If so, HELL YEA!!!
5. What is the best Imbuing trainer script? (In your opinion, link too please)
6. Before, making Relics could be done with a certain recipe and a runic hammer. (Does it still work, what recipe and runic hammer are needed?)
7. I heard, they changed imbuing so you cannot imbue MArties anymore. Is this true?
8. Any new tamable pets? (I dont need to know about new chickens, so just powerful pets lol)
9. So reading more here and there and no definitive guide, what are the drawbacks of imbuing. (I know about powder of fort)

10:a. Where is the entrance to underworld, Fire, Ice?
10:b. How do you get into Twisted Weald to tame Cu's? (I know its a quest)

11. I want to get my lumberjack/miner/leather farmer running again. Any info on how to do this with current files (uop) or how exactly to make mul files work would be appreciated. And if mul files, I would love a quick tutorial (refresher) on how to remove trees and make certain items passable, boxes etc. I used to do all this on my own, (pre-uop files) so I really only need a refresher course on mul files. As far as making mul files work, I have no clue, so any help is much appreciated. I dont have instant messengers, so until I fix that issues email would be best or using google email chat I guess would work. My name @ gmail.com.

12. Can you still use discordance on parrots for skill gains? If not, whats the best way now?
13. With the change to the original dungeons, where do you farm lizardmen for spinned leather?
14. What search uo (vendor search) websites do you use? And any other sites that would help besides uoguide.com. They are missing a lot of info, like new dungeons etc.

Last but not least, any suggestions for this Whammy is appreciated.

I dont have high seas and do not intend to buy it. But what is new over the past say 3 years? What do you suggest? I am very interested in hearing other peoples play styles and how you farm, adventure, etc.

I understand this is a lot of info I am asking for and I further understand not a lot of people want to answer all this. That is fine, this is just a post to hook some answers/help if people want to. By no means am I demanding info and its no big deal if I get no replies, eventually I will find my way lol.

Off Topic / Hello from Hell or the day after the butchering.

Well had my surgery yesterday. Had bone on bone and they had to do a procedure where they clean out the bone fragments then use a needle to poke holes all in the pothole to get bloodflow. This allows bloodflow to rebuild either bone or cartalidge. No weight bearing, not even resting my foot o nthe ground for 6 weeks. Got out of surgery and hurt like hell, nurse gave me morphine iv push and two vicodin es, woo was I flying! They injected my knee with cortozone like stuff that numbed it for almost 20 hours after surgery. But when it wore off OMG!!! I woke up in tears from the pain, Mom had to help me all the way downstairs and into the recliner where I now sit. And to top it all off for the surgery, while I was sleeping they put in a cathidor and took it out before I woke up. They said "I might be uncomfortable to urinate for a day or so". Well that is the understatment of the year! Felt like I was pissing out a river of lava and razor blades! And its just now starting to go away. Im sure Twinkle McNugget knows the pain in that with what he goes through, it SUUUUUUCKS!

All in all I am in up spirits besides the obvious pain. Thank you to all of you in my corner praying. I thought I would be back to playing all day again, but to be honest, I cannot concentrate enough to do it. But soon I will be, as the pain starts to get more bearable. So dont be suprized if I do a ton of random replys to posts.

Well guys, I made a post on boost, now I am going to make one here. As some may know for a long time I have been going through severe knee, lower back and ankle pain. Been seeing a Doc for quite a while now to figure it out. After an MRI of my spine and going to a pain control clinic they did a nerve block in my lower spine (5 needles in each side of the spine injecting something to block the nerves that send pain signals). It didnt work and my Doc had all but given up thinking I was just looking for narcotics. Well in one final attempt I went back and explained that I am not abusing my perscription pain killers, this is a real problem and real pain that prevents me from walking or even standing or sitting for any period of time. I asked him to please do xrays on my knees and see if the problem is there and low and behold it was.

Now instead of re-writing all I wrote on my facebook page I will just sum it up here in a copy and quote from my FB page so you guys know what is going on. Especially if I act differently, such as short temper, unusual sadness and or depression ect, you will know why. And I am going to have a lot of free time shortly to play some more, a lot more.

In english: The growth may or may not be attached to the rear of my knee area, could also be a fragment from my knee joint.

"Possible second joint body or unfused growth center at the fibular head lateral tibial plateau region. MRI recommended and consideration for other study. Bony and articular structures otherwise intact. No significant joint effusions"

In English: Could possibly also have a second joint. Also probable that it is a unfused growth (not connected to) the head of my fibula (top of the lower leg bone. They are recommending an MRI to investigate further for the cause of the legions and growths. They also want me for further study (more tests ect). And that architecture of my knee is in tact and no big problems with my knee joint.

Conclusion:
I have two growths in my left knee. One on the top and one on the bottom. I am to have an MRI to further look at these growths. My Mom is remaining calm but I could tell she was holding back after reading the report due to my past of panic disorder and not scare me. The obvious outcome will be either it is just a mass it gets removed and they remove the bone spurs, 6-10 weeks of Physical Therapy. This is a best case. Worst case and what they are actually looking for is cancer. They will do the MRI to see the mass better and will be confirmed with a biopsy that it is bone cancer, likely leg removed, chemo, ect ect. The survival rate of bone cancer is not very high due to it spreading through bone marrow.

So, that is why I have been calling my ex so much to talk to my daughter and not having much luck with that. When you are this terrified all you can really think of is the one you love most and its my daughter. Man I get a great job, now I cant even work because of this. I will say it straight out, if it is cancer and I diddnt have my daughter I would refuse treatment and just say screw it and when it gets so bad just end it. Now I am hoping for a best case scenerio but I am also logical so preparing for the worst.

This fuckin sucks, excuse my language, but outlook is very bleak right now. To think all I ever wanted was to be loved have a family and raise my daughter, be the best Dad and man I can be. Finally after close to two decades with severe panic disorder we get it fixed, its gone, not 8 months later after I am cured, this.

It is taking all the will inside of my soul to not just get blasted drunk. Still in this time of terror and sadness for me, I am still going to stay strong and try to be a good man. And it all goes back to the saying "I see the man I want to be through my Daughters eyes".

*bleep* its hard though.

Anyways for thsoe who care or were wondering thats the story, straight from the Radiology report, quoted word for word.

Well I finally got my water cooler installed and my new power supply.

Overclocked my FSB and CPU as well as memory. This machine flies!

With no load cpu is idle at 34c full load 49-52c

I will post pics later, click the cpuz banner in my sig to check out the specs. Two days of work to get this stable.

I get this bsod stop error when I OC my Phenom X4 II 940, Ram gets REAL hot.

The PSU is a 450w (Might be 550w), which I am sure is low for this system to begin with. Like I said this ONLY happens on the OC, no problem on regular operation. The OC is normal +18x, volts from 1.25 to 1.55. Which from all OC pages I have read is stable for both my MB+CPU+Ram combo.

So, as I have a 900w PSU on the way, I must ask, is this error sounding like weak psu? It is sure pointing that way to me and google yields pretty much the same. Asus Power Calculator shows I need a minimum 700w for my system, Im sure with OC that number jumps, which is why I got 850w.

So whatcha think?

Well with my new job paying me extremely well I am building a new rig, gonna be the most powerful I have ever seen.

Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 965 (Socket AM3)

Ram: DDR3 8gb
HD: WD 2TB HD
Power Supply: Coolmax ATX Power Supply 700W 6&8 pin PCI-E LED CL-700B

Now let me explain all this. Obviously the CPU is the best out right now, the MB has onboard spdif outs as well has hdmi. The dual video cards have 1gb ram each functioning in crossfire mode. Obviously ram is starting at 8gb, I will max it out at 16gb. The 700w power supply is needed to run all the cooling internals let the system use the juice that is needed. The Liquid Cooling System will be hooked into the cpu obviously but I am buying some extra cooling blocks for the ram and both video cards. This will allow me to over clock the processor from 3.2 ghz to somewhere around 6ghz and the memory as well, all while keeping the system under or around 40-50c, which is well below max operating temperature.

Adding in a 4th monitor, 2x 22" acer wides, 37" vizio as the media screen, and a 17" to place UO cartographer, EUO, Razor ect in. Leaving my double 22" for UO/Web browser or a VM Station on one, work on the other. Thinking of addin in yet two more monitors since I can have 6 total, 22" wides placed on each side of my Vizio tilted on their side to extend the TV for other things, pic slideshow, or whatever.

I will also be adding in two dual haugpauge tv tuners for a total of 4 tv tuners to record anything I want on multiple stations at the same time. Ovbiously the Bay fan controll will not be controlling a cpu fan as I wont have one, it will however control the case fans and possibly the liquid cooling pump if there is a way to do it. IT will also be digital, so it will allow me to keep real time track of my cpu temp without running any extra services.

Now for the keyboard I will have two. One will be completely wireless with a touchpad mouse control build in. This is for doing typing and stuff from the couch. The main keyboard I am having trouble deciding on, I like the logitech G series, but I also want backlighted keys. Can anyone confirm they do that? Dual mice, one wireless optical, one wireless trackball for programming ect.

I have a logitech harmony remote that I already use in my current setup so I wont need to change anything there. The spdif out goes to my Sony home theater and powered sub.

You may be asking why all this? Why 6 monitors? Why so much power? Well I figure like this, next year 3d TV's and 3d capable programs will be coming out to watch movies and games in real 3d (i.e. with the glasses). While you will need a new tv and blu ray player capable of this, computers will have this more readily available, that is why I choose top of the line dual video cards. If anyone saw Avatar in 3d you will understand. Second, with that much power, 16gb of ddr3 ram, overclocked to a 6ghz quad core processor, I will be able to play CoDMW2, UO, WoW, Watch a Blu Ray, and TV all at the same time keeping a good framerate of 25-40 fps on all. And the secondary reason is I am rebuilding this current pc to a custom box with a modified power supply and blu ray via usb and mounting it in my car. Yes with yet another 22" wide monitor modded into the roof to flip down, usb blu ray modded into the dash below the stereo, now I got one kick ass looking mod in my car and my daughter can watch movies on the road either from the 2.5" HD or the blu ray. And the third, I am modding my second computer now into my daughters computer for her room to play on noggin.com, watch movies ect in her room. Shes 4 and its time she learned to use a computer, plus I know how to set up the computer to make it easy for her to use and do what she wants while limiting what she can "mess up" and what web sites she can visit.

So, thoughts and or suggestions? Keep your ati v nvidia or amd v intel arguements to yourself lol, I love nvidia and amd, but fact is ati works better with amd than nvidia does. Not having to run CCC and nvidia display. :p

Hi guys. I have tried windows 7 64 bit, I have tried Vista 64 too. I really tried to give them both a chance, I honestly did, it usually lasts a week then I get pissed or frustrated and go back to XP 64. Its faster, user friendly uses less resources and just plain works better.

So why keep trying Vista and Windows 7? For media Center! I have over 1.5 TB of movies, 500gb of TV shows, 300 gb of music and a TV tuner. I have used Media Portal, its great for playback, but getting my Tuner card to work has proven to be difficult. Getting Windows 7 Media Center to work with my high def movie files is yet another impossible task. Some have sound but no video, some have video but no sound, ect. I know this is a codec issue, but MS locked Win7 MC to use only their codecs (jerks). I tried XBMC, but again no tuner. But when I install XP MCE everything just works. When I unpack XP MCE into XP x64 and try to run eshell.exe it gives me the error that it only works in windows XP media center edition. This is where I need help, I have two options, which I have tried one.

1. Use tweakNT and change my OS name to XPMCE, which gives me a BSOD Error on licensing.
2. Hex Edit either eshell.exe or eshell.dll to jump over the check for XP MCE. Which I need help with. I can provide both of these files if anyone does not have them and TM says its okay. And all anyone would need is IDA pro I believe or hex workshop.

The other option I have is to try and get Vista 64 bit MC to work, but that gives the error that its not a valid win32 application, same with Win7. I have found a few web sites claiming to have ported XP MCE to XP x64 and Win 2k3 Server x64, but many are outdated and files are missing from download links. Here are the links to the web sites.

I am begging for help here as this is beyond my expertise and I would really like to be able to use everything I paid for.

Programming / Operating Systems / SOLVED! WinXP x64/2k3 Crash w/nVidia+ATI GPU

I posted a while back about a problem I was having where my nVidia 8600GT and on board ATI 3350 HD would cause a bsod crash in windows XP x64 and Windows server 2003 x64. But worked fine in XP Pro 32 bit and Vista/Win7 32/64. After much searchign and buying of a new video card, I did find out why this was happening and the fix for the issue.

When Microsoft added in SP2 for both XP 64 and Server 2003 64 they screwed up videoprt.sys and never fixed it. (Big suprise huh?)

Well, after you install XP or server 64 bit, all you need to do is take the original videoprt.sys file pre SP2 and replace the new one. This is so easy. Just get your hands on the original file (google) or if TM will let me post it I will. And overwrite the new file and the problem is fixed. No more crashes when using an ati and nvidia card. I believe videoprt.sys is in your Windows/System32 folder, might be Windows/System, a simple search will show you. If anyone needs the file version to download from the net, I can post it, but I am on my laptop right now so I dont have that info onhand. But I wanted to make a post letting everyone know it is solved.

Okay so I am under the impression that Windows XP Media Center Edition is a 32 bit OS and a 32 bit OS can only see 3gb of ram, is this correct?

Can windows 32 only see 3gb of ram but can actually use my whole 8gb? Or Can it only see 3gb of ram and only use 3gb?

This is why I am asking.

I am searching google for a way to install Windows MEdia Center on my Windows XP x64 install. Now the obvious, XP Media Center is built for a 32 bit, where as Vista and Windows 7 both have a 32 and 64 bit version. So it leads me to understand it is possible. While searching google I came across this little tid bit on msdn forums...

What does he mean? Do I run that from a command prompt while in the media center directory on the cd? Or do I copy it all and change an ini file?

Any help here would be most appreciated, even if it is totally off the wall suggestions, cause I am detesting vista and windows 7 due to the wonky stuff they do sometimes and my laptop runs 80% hotter with those OS as compared to XP64. I noticed after downgrading to XP64 the fan rarely turns on, running about 75% faster, and +15 FPS, bringing it up to 30+ FPS. Which is a big deal. So Vista and or Windows 7 is not an option. The only other option I see is to add a Media Center VM, since I am using all this through my xbox 360 anyways, but I would hate to have to run a VM just for that. So please help me, if this can be done as these guys said, then I am sure we can find a way.

Is there a way for me to extract the existing drivers from my system that were installed via an exe file?

So I can save them to slipstream them into an nlite xp64 disk.

Ala, in device manager you can see driver details, but no way to backup or save them or even copy them into their own directory so I can add them to my windows install disk. Mainly so I dont have to use multiple disks to install and it all gets done during the windows install. Like my ethernet drivers, south bridge drivers, sound card, video ect.

Anyone know of a way?
