I have been playing with the new items and my sampire template. I can consistently nail 20 minute or less runs from 2 candle or more. This is my record run to date, 17:48.

Hi Baldielocks, that's very cool. May I know what is your build and equipment. I am back to UO after 15 year and the game have changed so much that all my characters equipment is pretty much useless now.

Thanks a lot baldielocks, I will read thru and see what i can do to convert a fencer of mine to become sampire. But i think the gears is really hard for me as i dont have all the new crafting material lol.

you can do just fine. take it slow, get your materials for one spawn. I suggest barracoon. Vermin slayer talisman is cheap. repond materials are easy to get from goblins. Use leafblade for ai / feint. Read Sadok's Sampire Template too, he uses an effective fencer. Lajatang or Kama for whirlwind. Advantages are getting to use pots. do NOT put ssi on the weps! EVER. Once you have decent gear, all 70, 45 hci, 100 di, get a luck statue from one of the virtue dungeons. Get with some friends and learn how to do roof. That's where you will get the major drops to really boost your samp. Juumu's Sacred Hide and Cameo's are worth it. Sell other loot to buy the suggested armor types.

Thank you so much for the step by step advise. i am playing alone and no friends coming back to play. So i really have to take things very slowly. Just too overwhelm with all the new items and feature in the game now.

if you are just restarting, come to pac if you can and we can get you hooked up. I am part of a very active, very friendly and helpful guild and group there that specializes in helping returning players. My true advice for a starting template for a sampire.... is a tamer. Tamer + luck suit will get you all that you need, and can even solo roof with practice. Trying to start a sampire from the ground up without other support is a LONG slog.

Thank a lot for the offer to help. But I have 2 account with 7 character is each. So it is pretty costly to move around.
You mean use a tamer + luck to get the equipment first?

Any advise which pet i should be using to solo roof? To be honest I dont even know what is roof lol. I will go and google about that.

Google Shadowguard. YOu will need a Frost dragon or WW or Cold Drake for Belfry. For other rooms, a Firebeetle with rune corruption, armor pierce, and frenzied whirlwind. Scroll Ninjitsu as high as you can. Rest 110 will work. For roof, Triton with Chiv, Repel, AI, Feint. Makes it super tanky. Run consume. Preferred couple with a discord tamer, but any good cast/heal tamer.

Also, do you have a bard (preferably 4x legendary) on the other account from the tamer? You could multi box roof easily with tamer and bard running peace buffs

All my pets are old pets, some are useless now as their control slot are too high for training. But for my WW, will keep it for now as I dont have 120 PS to train it. Just tamed a fire beetle recently and waiting for bonded to train it. Dont know what is a Triton and will google that. A lot of work to redo my tamer as well. :0

my tamer is actually a 4X legendary bard but lost peace and prov skill in the soul stones when house collapse. Another account have 3X legendary and 115 discord. So that should not be an issue. Gonna practise multi box skill lol

Triton is a pet redeemed from points doing High Seas content that started about a year ago. You turn in chests for points. You get these chests from doing the orc beacons or pirating ships. Turn in the chests (I forget the exact name, but they have several named levels) which are very colorful but are not a container you can use.

These points get turned in to a NPC near the bank at Buc's Den. You also redeem the pet there.

You will actually get a statuette of the pet. You have to double click the statuette to redeem the pet. Make sure you redeem it somewhere in Tokuno. This allows you to add the samurai based skills to the pet, if you decide to go that route.

Tritons have high wrestling and resist, so no need to use scrolls for those skills usually. I think wrestling can be as low as 110's, but as high as maybe 130. Resist spells is much higher - going to 170+. These have the healing like cu sidhes - so make an excellent tank in many situations. That is the short definition.

In order to learn to do the beacons, you can always create a character on another shard to join someone to show you how to do it. There are several of us who can do that and would probably be willing to help. Shared knowledge is kinda what this place is about - IMHO.
