Scripting Chat / anti-gm script?
« on: May 13, 2010, 03:23:08 AM »
hello, I was wondering about the efficacy of an antigm script; something that while you are, for example, training a skill, would screen the journal for GM contacts. At that point it would wait some seconds and then respond something like: hello mr GM, how can I help you?. The thing is that you cannot obviously foresee what they are going to tell you next, and so it could close the uo client, stopping all the scripts that are working and making you immobile. You could justify that to the gms that you had a conloss at that moment.
Would it be efficent? Would the GM suspend/ban you anyway? This is the main question. Post your opinions please

Scripting Chat / quest gumps question? :p
« on: April 29, 2010, 04:16:52 AM »
Hi, I'm trying to make a questing script, and I wanted to know how to have easyuo discriminate different quests from the same npc. I thought I could use #contid or #conttype but instead of a value, easyuo gives me a nice N/A text. Quests gumps have same #contkind and #contsize so I just can't figure out how to select a different quest. Maybe there is some way to have easyuo "read" the text of the quest gump?
More specifically I'm trying to differentiate the quests "beer goggles" from "message in a bottle" off the wine tender npc in heartwood

New member introductions / Hello all

Hi, just came back in uo after 5 years of pause.I play in europa osi server and I found my templates are pretty out of date, I see that today theres a lot more pvp with bows, while in my days everybody had fencing and mages were scribe mage with wrestling. My 7xgm chars can't not really stand pvp for now, but I'll be back on the scene as soon as I get some good ps + arties. Never used scripts anyway but I found nowadays are really useful, so I think I'll pass sometime reading instructions and all for this stuff. Anyway I'm italian and my english kinda sux. We'll be seeing around!
