General UO Chat / Re: Pet Venders
« on: December 26, 2009, 08:45:33 PM »
That is such a good idea, years ago there used to be a guild on my shard (catskills) that sort of did that, very organized and it seemed great, but it didn't last long because most tamers filled up their stable slots. If there is a way to present this idea to ea i'd love to help :)

General UO Chat / Any cool free shards?
« on: December 26, 2009, 06:20:44 PM »
This is my first post other than my introduction so please let me know if i'm doing this wrong.

I was looking through the free shards available for Ultima Online that i found using google, it seems that enough people play the free ones to be fun, and some of them have cool themes.

I'm not even sure where to begin on how to use them, and i dont know if they affect your accounts that you pay for.

If anyone knows which ones are the most fun, and maybe have a simple explanation as to how to use them, that would be great!

Thank you

New member introductions / Hey everyone
« on: December 26, 2009, 04:04:26 PM »
Hey everyone!, my name is James and I've taken a big break from uo for the last couple of years. But now that my friends are done playing WoW i convinced them to try it out again. I have always been interested in game coding, and i'm currently majoring in digital media so i get to dabble in code often now. I'm looking to design games for a living after college so i'd like to keep up with my favorites like UO

I played UO on Catskills, and great lakes shards. I played mostly as somebody who didn't know how to play so i wandered around a lot, but i really did enjoy the social aspect of the game. Now that I'm older i feel I'd like to try some hard stuff, but i don't have many hours a day to train up like my friends do. So to keep up I'd like to try some of this out if that's alright.

I hope to not only use the scripts here but contribute in any way i can it seems that everyone here is very social and fun so it wont be difficult using this site.

Any questions, or if you play on catskills and want to play (which would be great) just ask or say so

Thank you
- James
