Mystic Mage Armor (Factions)

I'm kind of stumped on what armor I should put on my mystic mage. I've been contemplating a few ideas, and have been using the UO Template Editor software to decide.

Setup 1:

Kasa (Faction)
Orny (Faction)
Crimmy (Faction)
Fey Leggings (Faction)
Ranger Cloak (For other 3 SDI)
Ring (15 magery, 15 DCI, 3 FCR, and alittle of something else..maybe resists.)
Magery/EP Talisman
Imbued Chest, Sleeves, Gloves, and Neck piece
Conjurers Garb

Setup 2:

Folded Steel
Quiver
Crimmy
Fey Leggings
Orny
Crystalline
Conjurers Garb
Totem of Void
Imbued Chest, Sleeves, Gloves, and Neck piece

Setup 3:

Typical AOF, folded steel, mage/ep talisman, imbued ring/bracelet, with custom leggings, sleeves, gloves, and neck piece.

I'm just kind of confused on what would be the best. Any suggestions? Thanks

I will always adivise the non-faction route.  Factions are undergoing a major change soon anyway, and I'm betting all those shiny shiny faction arties will be out-of-reach for most.

100% agree. I have multiple toons at level 10 and a few under. I'm currently making a non-faction suit for all of them. That way once factions have the change, I can alter suits based on faction rank.

I totally disagree with this. ALWAYS get the faction arties. I'm blown away by the number of people not wearing factions artifacts. It's the little things that when put together make up greats suits. Faction items are superior items to their counterparts. Why would you not want a better item if it's available?

An quite the contrary. What was put forth by the Dev's regarding faction changes is to make the faction items even easier to get and more accessible to players in hopes of leveling the playing field.

Ultima - the point is that it will be much more difficult to maintain points to keep the faction items, so people are putting together alternative suits without faction gear.

I didn't read the entire thing, but it looks like points will be awarded AND deducted based on what transpires. If another faction player stealths near you, he gains points, you lose points. You get dismounted, you lose points.

Lucky for me I already have a good non faction suit made.

However, the devs did say that they would make the faction arties lower levels so they are easier to get.

I actually think it's going to be a lot more difficult.  I also think they will nerf or eliminate altogether the faction arties.
