That's interesting..

I'm completely unaware of any way to see into private homes though.

197
Yeah.. for IDOC house only.. not to grief others.. although I could see how it could be used for that.

But while we're on the subject of public houses with private doors.. the houses that have vendors on the top floor but have locked doors so you just can't walk up and say vendor view are quite annoying..

Still looking for a way to get into IDOC house with locked doors, but not finding anything.

Wandering healers will still open doors? I thought that was fixed a while ago.. Maybe not, as I haven't tried it in a long time.. Will see about some way to get them to open it.

It's for IDOCs. Not to learn everybody's deep inner secrets.

General UO Chat / Any way to break into locked doors on a public house?
« on: January 06, 2011, 07:52:18 PM »
I know there used to be like sandbagging and also ressing on the door, but neither of these seem to work for me anymore. Is there another way to break in?

I've tried editing the art files just to toggle off the impassable restrictions and such, resynching the client in funny ways while lowering my z axis, trying to make myself lag through the stuff, but to no avail. Also tried rubble stairs, but I couldn't get enough blocks and sets of stairs to really test this, although I did half check with interior staircases and it seemed to not work.. dunno.

Thanks.

WoW happens to have several loopholes in it's 3rd party detection as well.  ;)

Good intro. You ever tried the Bake/Beetle combo? I think it is as deadly, and a bit different since you can't mount the Kitsune. And reducing the key clicks is largely what makes scripting so popular, I'd probably already have carpel tunnel if it wasn't for EUO.

Athene is a bit high on himself lol.. I saw his whole "I'm hitting level 85 in the name of science, because I'm so popular just me leveling will advance science as a whole. My research is groundbreaking."

Anyways, hope you have fun here.

Interesting. I hadn't even heard of this quest. UOGuide says magic item and some obsidian statue piece.. is this right?

Idk.. I'd still say your good PC gamers have more skill than the good console nubs.

If UO is all you play, you are going overkill to the extreme.. but I'm guessing you know this.

I think you're reading into that wrong Cerv.

That's why people say PC gaming takes more skill, because the mouse has better precision than a controller so it's more a test of who is actually better, rather than luck. Not sure if you were being sarcastic or not though.
