Welcome... I hope you are wrong about Peacemaking sucking now.  I too just returned a few weeks ago and am currently building a necro/peacer.  I certainly hope that it isn't a waste of time to make one for doing spawns.

Well, it might be useful for the beginning of the spawn... But forget peacemaking for high level monsters. Even if you peace them successfully, the effects fades in less than 5 seconds now. I discovered than with my 1st attempt at taming a greater dragon... "Piece of cake with Peacemaking", I said.  The greater dragon tamed me !
