Hi all. Second attempt at an intro here, since the first one was obviously lacking. I started playing this game back right after Renaissance was released. Worked for years to build my first character, who eventually became a 7x GM LJ warrior. I remember the countless nights of guild magic resist training... sitting on a boat, x-healing while 4-5 mages constantly cast daemons to target us. The golden days of UO, when it was all about community. I sure put alot of heart into that character. I still remember the names of my Guildmasters, the location of several guild houses, etc. Crazy how some of that stuff sticks with you.

The game today is nothing like it was back then, but I find enjoyment in many ways still. My current addiction is in suit building. I am attempting to put together the perfect suit on a production shard, but am getting a bit sick of the grind. I've been spending hours upon hours crafting woodland armor, hoping for the perfect resistances. If I do get lucky and find one, I usually get a bad reforge or enhance, and have to start right over. I came across this website while looking for help. I have used easyuo in the past, but their script library is nothing like the one here. If I am accepted as a member, I will put these scripts to use in alleviating much of the grind of the game. In doing so, I hope I will be able to spend my limited play time doing the more enjoyable activities UO has to offer.

Thanks for the read

Hi Hoby. I'll be sure to post my suit stats here when I get a chance. It's unconventional for a sampire, having MR and FC/FCR, but I love it. What is on yours?

Here are my suit mods for those who are interested!

helm: 5 HCI, 2 MR, 8 LMC, 8 Stam, 8 Mana, 13/9/14/12/13
neck: 5 HCI, 7 LMC, 8 Stam, 8 Mana, 12/15/19/13/16
chest: 5 HCI, 2 MR, 8 LMC, 8 Stam, 6 Mana, 12/20/9/14/9
arms: 10 DI, 2 MR, 8 LMC, 8 Stam, 6 Mana, 10/20/7/19/6
gloves: 5 HCI, 8 LMC, 8 Stam, 8 Mana, 13/20/12/13/15

I top it off with jewels/slither/clothing to give me the total mods of:
70s in vamp
3/6 casting
10 MR
10 ssi (25 in divine fury)
30 hci (45 in divine fury)
55 dci (45 in divine fury)
60 di (80 in divine fury)
25 HP
45 Stam
41 Mana

I keep divine fury running all the time. No problem with the FC/FCR and you don't need stam leech on the weps

Could anyone advise as to if I need to make a new intro thread? I thought that my two post intro here was adequate compared to others I have read, but someone with a little more experience could maybe tell me different. Please let me know what you think!

Hi NObama. Thanks for the reply. I find that reforging opens new opportunities for suit building. With the cap of 10LMC on armor pieces, you can max it out with just 3 pieces and orni. Also I am hoping to make a couple 5dci/3mr pieces to cram even more into my suit. The chances of getting this mod combination without any useless mods is very low though. I started crafting, and out of reforging 100 pieces I got only a handful of useful pieces, none of which were perfect.

A bit more on my UO history to explain why I want to use the script: before the forged tool of artifacts was released, I set out to create my ultimate suit. I use a sampire with fc/fcr and MR, so I went about making a woodland suit appropriate for my playstyle. My order of building would be to craft a piece with normal wood with at least 19 of the 20 exceptional resists falling in the right place; then I would imbue it up with 2MR, 8LMC, 8Stam, 8Mana, and one resist. The cost per piece at this point was around 4 million(seeds of renewal, essence, relic fragments, powder of fort). Then I had to take my chances on enhancing with heartwood in order to get 5HCI on the piece. The chance of a successful enhance in itself on such a piece is around 20%, and then it had to hit the correct mod to work. I think there are 7 possible mods.

A long story short I had to make alot of gold to do this. I got busy buying and selling dread mares which were a hot item at the time. A few months of hard work, I made enough gold to complete my suit. I estimate it took about 500 million gold and 150-200 hours of crafting time alone to do it. I am still very proud of my suit.

As you can see, I am a total perfectionist when it comes to crafting. I run one character (besides my crafters) and want his items to be the absolute best they can be. So when reforging came out, I immediately hit the spreadsheet to see what I can do with it - and man, I sure am able to squeeze in alot. It's just going to take a TON of runic saws and an equal amount of time. Hopefully with the help of the heartwood script, it will make this process much more pleasant.

Hello everyone. 9 year UO vet here, been playing the same account since I joined up. I'm interested in scriptUO to help me out with the trivial grind of heartwood quests. Need alot of saws these days to play with reforging. I can't wait to try out the ScriptUO Heartwood Quester. Please accept my request to become an active member of this community  :)
