Hello all.
So, I tried writing my first script after first doing a macro and deconstructing it.

Shard:     Excelsior
Purpose:     Trying to get an automation where tinkering of fancy windchimes are attempted. If successful, item is placed in a backpack within my main backpack, loop. If unsuccessful, try again loop.

Error received:   Evaluate script error
                        Line: 2
                        SyntaxError: Parse error

Any insight as to why my script will not parse?

Hey all. My real name is Nick, I live in the Midwest. Back in 1998 I began playing UO and spent too many hours on game. Myself and my best friend would do a LAN party and play coordinating characters in Baja shard as a PvM'r and PK'r respectively.

Fast forward to today -  2025 and of course life and the world's changed.
-Joined military and was honorably discharged 2001-2008. One Iraq tour. Got blown up by IED, only lost my hearing in one ear...will take it I suppose.
-Got my BA in Communications
-Married the woman I met in college
-Multiple cats, one we had to put down, but have 2 new ones
  * No offense to dog lovers because I like dogs too, but I travel a lot and cats work a bit better for that ;-)
-Had two kids, they're tweenagers at this point

My passions include craft beers, dining, travel, Spanish, trying coding (currently in Javascript and Python).

+ Adding a renewed passion for UO and Orion .

Wow, I probably spent dozens of hours just manually trying to GM Magery and any of the combat skills back in 1998-99.

So, what landed me here at www.scriptuo.com? Not sure, it was this rabbit hole I went down after trying, trying and trying again to do my own scripts by converting a macro to one....unsuccessful and while there is documentation out there via GitHub...it's written mainly for those with an a priori knowledge of coding/scripting as well as advanced knowledge of JavaScript (which I aspire to know but am far from it).

I'm extra curious and ambitious to do my own scripts BUT I'm missing some vital experience looking at others'. Like the UO community that I've rejoined, I hope this site can help me in my quest to learn more on those .oajs files lol.
