Hello there! My name is Lahla. I am NOT a scripter, but I am looking forward to learning the art. I just started dabbling recently, making slight changes to others scripts. I wanted to learn more so did a google search, that's how I found this site!
Well, I was first introduced to UO by my mother and younger sister. I had never heard of it and at first was VERY leary of it since it was an online game and I didn't even know what mmo or rpg meant. I was (and still am) a big fan of simulation games, specifically Sims. After much begging and pleading, I finally gave in to their constant nagging (I say that with LOTS of love
) and played with them. I was instantly hooked! We would play in the evenings with a large group of family friends. My mom had actually started an account for me and a char on Catskills. She had worked her up a little to give me a headstart. I remeber how lost I was at first. It seemed so confusing! But as time went on I got the hang of it. I especially loved doing champ spawns with our group. What fun it was! But, I am really a crafter at heart. So that is one of my main things I am always doing when I play. I also like being a pvmer! I love just going off on my own and killing some dragons at Destard. The side benefit of course is colored hides for my tailor! When I play with my children we like champ spawns. We have so much fun together on UO that sometimes I wish we could play all day, at least there is no bickering.
I guess that is our family bonding time since they are all teens now.
Well, my mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2003. So we stopped playing for quite awhile. She passed in 2005. Some of my favorite memories with her and my sister involve UO. I didn't play again until my son was old enough to play with me. That was about 4 years ago. Then my other son started playing and my daughter as well! Now we enjoy playing together! We even have our own private shard that we play together on. That and my interest in scripting is how I came to be here. I am looking forward to seeing all of the wonderful scripts people have made and hopefully learning a little myself. Thank you for allowing me even partial access to so many peoples hard work! I am very appreciative and thankful of the amazing talents and ideas that so many scripters have. Props to you all!
