Hello and it's great to be here!!

I beta tested the original UO and was a player for quite a few years on Catskills shard. The UO Beta was a new frontier for me and all on the mmo front and it had its challenges. I remember taking 2 steps and freezing, fighting and disconnecting mid fight only to log in dead. Matter of fact, the first time I died in beta I roamed the woods for 2 days not knowing how to resurrect and trying to talk to people only to later find out they only saw OoOoooOOoo. Finally I somehow figure out how to open the map and find a town to resurrect. The beta came with no instructions and we learn the depth of the game as we tested. As frustrating as it was it was good times and great memories.

For a while I was a Companion in game. Older players may know of what I am speaking about. We had the powers to teleport to new players, greet them and help them on the way in the world of UO. After awhile they shut down the Companion program and I continued on as a regular player.

As a 37 year old man, Ultima Online to me was my fondest moments in my PC gaming history. The ability to interact with others online and the freedom to make your avatar anything that you could imagine was magical. My only gripe was the introduction of the expansion of UO:Renaissance. I feel they did a great job with the 1st expansion T2A but I feel Renaissance split the community and took away a lot of the freedom the game once had. Before Renaissance you were careful of what gear you wore out and only wore your best if you were in groups. Players would gather and work together to either attack areas to PK and become murders and others would take the opposite role gather together to hunt down and fight the Pkers. You always watched your back where ever you went and dungeon were even more intense because you never know if a PKer would show up while fighting monsters.

I am looking forward to being part of the scriptUO community and using some of its great scripts witch makes the game even more rewarding imo nowadays!

Thanks for reading!
