Hey There :)

Hi All!

I have recently returned to UO, having started when SE came out about 20 years ago (?) and my recent break lasted a hefty 6 years whilst I got married, had kids and moved home to 2 new countries.
Whilst my life (and the world!) has changed and I now have a lot more grey hairs, it seems UO has too and it's awesome to rediscover it with my Sampires/Archers//Tamers/Bards :)
It seems I'm not the only person returning to UO to find escapism and calm - I've been amazed to find tons of life and awesome players in the few months I've been back online :D

Content wise, I've always loved doing champs and dabbling in PVP, but mainly I like to try and help new/returning players through crafting suits and weapons and showing them around - UO isn't the most accessible game right? However it seems this time I'm the noob :o
This time around, for the first time ever I'm trying to build Mages for PVP - it turns out a lot of my PVM dexxer knowledge is useless and my skill usage and reflexes need much improvement!

I generally play on European shards and LS but am this time I'm starting to take a peak on ATL due to the strong economy there.

I always enjoyed using EasyUO etc to help level skills and really enjoyed learning how to use, then modify then build scripts to optimise the process; a wonderfuly game within a game :D
This is especially key now as unlike 20 years ago my gametime is limited due to children/work etc - so I really need help these tools provide to make sure I can "play" instead of "grind", maximising funtime with friends.
Recently therefore I've written shadowjumping scripts to train ninja in the "gap" between 60 and 80, re-written scripts to train eval and SS using low level Necro/Mage spells, refined a range of hiding/stealth trainers and tools to support training Taming (using Gaman), Parry (in the sheep pens - minor healing, swapping weapons/armour etc), short scripts to help complete the Haven new player quests to get initial skills up to 50 and scripts to help sort all the Junk in my house I've amassed over the short time I've returned.

For "normal" (not training) play I'm mainly using the enhanced client for the first time and finding it to be a quite powerful tool, despite the divisive graphics and other features.

So if anyone has any PVP mage advice please share it - and I'll try to help and contribute to your scripts wherever I can :D

Cheers.
Garm.
