I think they just need to make some easy changes to factions.
#1. Stat loss = 2-5 minutes tops. It is both not fun and a waste of their servers to make it 20 minutes! It's 20 minutes that causes you to get up and walk away from the game and possibly not come back, YET you're still taking up valuable server space because you have to keep your character logged in!!
#2. Have a system to get out of stat loss early! Such as, if you get the killshot on the person who put you in stat, you're out of stat! This is good because it will be a challenge since you're currently IN stat trying to kill someone who probably ISN'T (although they might be). It would only be valid against the latest player to put you in stat (i.e. if Joe puts you in stat, then while in stat Dave kills you and "re-stats" you, then only killing DAVE will get you out of stat). Yes there are some flaws to this, but I think it's still a good idea!
#3. Change the way faction points work. Each point = a rank, therefore, as long as you have 10 points you have rank 10! Now, faction points can be earned different ways: #1 You only get 1 point for killing a person unless they're a faction commander, sheriff, or finance minister (then 2 points). Each town that a faction owns is worth a point to every player in that faction (so you could have 5 kill points + 3 points for owning 3 towns = rank

. Each time you are killed, you lose 1 point IF that person has not killed you in the past 5 minutes (to account for rez kills), and they GAIN your 1 point (or 2 if you're holding an office: sheriff, minister, commander). You can have more than 10 points (cap of something, maybe 25, maybe 100). Also, your rank updates each time you get a kill/are killed. So if you get a killshot and achieve rank 10, it'll give you a message saying YOU HAVE ACHIEVED RANK 10 or something like that. Same for when you die, then you could potentially lose your rank and not be able to equip stuff.
Feel free to shout out your opinions on this!
