Hi Everyone!!
First off, I am one of those edumacated individuals from the great (though woefully ignorant) state of Arkansas. It is great place to live and so technologically advanced as to have fire in 3 out of 5 homes. Like a great many others I am married ( or a closet gamer, whichever seems appropriate).
I actually have two accounts that I keep active. I have 14 chars total including a spellweaving/mage/tamer, 3 sampires (1 archer and 2 swordsman, dont ask me why), 3 crafters that include all maxed skills either GM or Legendary, a fisher, a pure mage, a thief, and my personal favorite - an animal gatherer (max peace and music, herding, stealth and hiding, taming and animal lore, and magery with a little honor thrown in). This char makes taming some of the harder to get critters a little easier to get. stealth in and herd them to an empty (somewhat safe spot) and then peace them while taming. This seems to work great for fire beetles, rune beetles, fire steeds, and reptalons.
I have always found scripts to be useful tools for repetitive tasks. Since they have improved most crafting gumps and removed the carpel tunnel aspect of the game everything went better and I stopped scripting for a while. Then in true UO fashion they developed something to to compete with the mind numbing boredom of tinkering training. Although It is easy to let the script run itself while you work on things that are not as important as your UO life, I strongly disapprove of unattended macroing.
I say I am an experienced player but I never participate in PvP. I have played UO for almost 7 years now (6 1/2 on dialup) and PvP was not even an option. It would get kinda depressing to wander through fel and be PKed, looted, and left for the ghostly buzzards without ever seeing your friendly neighborhood psycopath by the time your screen loads.
I look forward to meeting everyone here in the future and maybe even learning a few tips on how to improve my game!!
P.S. my wifes measurements are "wide" and "saggy"!!
