Stamina weirdness

So I finally broke down and am building a sampire.  I've got my bushido to 100, necro 99 and chiv 84,  and am currently working on my fencing, tactics and parry. 

I'm training down in shame and I've noticed I'm not losing stamina when I'm being hit, unless my health has gone down to about half or lower, and even then it's only a point or 2 and it's instantly back at max.  Also I'm not using stamina leach on my weapon, I don't have focus, and none of my equipment has stamina regen.

I've seen nothing on stratics or uoguide to explain why this is happening.

Anyone have any thoughts or is this a really good bug on my toon.

What are your stats and skills on this character?

1)  If your in Vamp form that's 12 stam regen right there & All character come with a base of 2 stam regen I think...

2) If your weapon has hit Stamina Leech then it will leech 100% of Damage down as stamina  each time it goes off which should be filling you instantly.

Plus if human form he'll get the 20 jack of all trades focus for some stam regin too.

Ahhh, that makes sense.  I did not know that vamp form gave you 12 stam regen,  I don't think that is stated on UOGuide.

Thanks for the info, although to be honest I was hoping my toon was bugged.(eternal max stamina ftw )
