I am Ashok from India. I remember my first job in a Call Center in India back in 2001 , where I was suppose to clean message boards from anything vulgar. There I came across various EA message boards and how much emotional people are about games. I was just 23 years old and It was my first job , down the corner there was group of support guys who were just playing games whole day with a packet of Patato chips and Pepsi . They game they were playing was UO and I was sitting with UO Support GM's. There you go, I made sure that I was part of them and I played UO whole day , made GM characters. Sometime , dead and finding way to get resurrected. It was fun fighting with Demons , fighting with Fire Allys. It was just fun and that too free and getting paid for the JOB...
However , responsibilities came all the way , I was making less , I got a G/F whom I wanted to marry , so I quit the job for a better career. I promised to my friends that one day I will be back in UO and we will play together. It was a sad story as we may not play UO again. It was a long long break
IT was a long long break of a lot of struggle in life to establish myself in my career field. I couldnot play UO for almost 4 years (2003-2007).
2007 I became a manager in an American Multinational Firm. I decided that I will play UO again and I thought why not get the same account back which I was playing earlier. I was denied saying that IT is a support account and I cant get it back. So I decided to start again with my own account.
Today I am playing for almost 4 years now and have gone through SA abyss to the High Sea expansion and play extensively in Ocenia and Atlantic as I am in India I want to make sure that I have someone to play with whenever there is an opportunity. I am still missing my friends with whom I was playing earlier , however , I will wait till they come back and we play UO together.
The Purpose of coming to this site is to automate few tasks and know people like you who have spend hours together to help the community play UO in a more interesting way. UO Will show always light to any MMO that comes that how it has survived through time and it will remain so.
