at my job.. everything is pooled into vacation day's... so I can use them however I damn well please...
though at my wife's job... she has 2 different pools.. PTO (Paid Time Off) and Sick bank.. though she can't access her Sick Bank until she has been sick for a min of 3 days. and of those 3 day's she has to use her PTO, then on the 4th day the day's are taking out of her sick bank... seriously.. they should just call this Hospital Bank, who is out of work for 4 day's because of a damned cold?

Yeah that "sick bank" that your referring to sounds more like Short Term disability insurance to me.
